Colorkraze:  That is false, as the stones are not coated.  The amora undergo high pressure/high temperature.  It permanently alters the stone material, like a HPHT diamond.  The FB were initally treated like that too, but now the FB material is just grown whiter.  Amora Gen is a different type if SiC all together.

I also spent months trying to find the perfect non diamond stone and ended up with an Amora Gem Ultra! I was going to go with an fb moissanite but I couldn’t get past the slight color, though they are beautiful in their own right. Totally personal preference. My stone is 1.25 carats (1.36 ct diamond equivalent), F color, VS1.

Hey Bees!

I went on this website that you mentioned, betterthandiamond.com but noticed there are many types of Amora gems. Which one is the one you bought for your sister?

newbee423:  thanks my dear. I had to change it 3 Times before i found the one,  just like the fiance lol.

I first had a diamond with so many inclusions bc I couldn’t afford a good one,  then I had an amora moissanite, beautiful but set against a diamond halo which looked off. Diamonds looks greyish while moissy looked warmish green. This one is perfect for me, Just like the fiance. Haha

Hi Ladies!

I have had my Forever Brilliant Moissanite for almost 2 years now and I love it. The only problem which has been discussed here is the yellowish tinge. Diamonds come yellow too. But when you have a huge solitaire, it is easier to see the color. Mine is a 1.5k on a 4.25 finger. I also wanted to share my setting that I got on moissaniteco.com. You don’t need to get a simple band if you don’t want to! It was about $900 for the e-ring and another $600 for the wedding band.

The best part about moissanite is that it stays cleaner than diamonds! Don’t think of it as settling for less. Moissanite and Amora gems are shinier with more fire and stay cleaner than diamonds. Also I have resized my e-ring twice and have not lost any stones. It is a strong and reliable setting!

The diamond industry has been very successful in brainwashing everyone into believing you have to spend 3 paychecks on an engagement ring and that diamonds are rare and special. Not really!! They are slightly harder at a 10/10 on mohs scale of hardness. The moissanite is a 9.5, does not discolor like a CZ, and is socially responsible!! My friends with diamonds always complain about how dirty their rings are. Not me! I don’t even take it off to shower or wash my hands. An engagement ring and wedding band is as special as you make it. No one will know but you because your friends and family will generally just be happy for you, and maybe a little jealous. Keep in mind large carats make for heavy rings, and big solitaires do scratch people. 🙂

Now how can I get my FB enhanced? Do I just contact betterthandiamond.com and they can just enhance it for me?

Thanks ya’ll and congratulations!!

matty04:  No you cant send your moissy in to get enhanced. You will need to buy a moissanite that already has an amora enhancement or you will just need to upgrade from moissanite to the amora gem.

matty04:  You could remount your ring at amantsbydesign.com. They don’t have the Amora Moissanite but they have the newly released Forever One moissanite which is supposed to be internally flawless color D/E/F. They will even buy your FB moissanite for 75% of what they are selling it at & credit it toward your remount. Check it out if you’re interested. I ordered a F1 moissanite that should arrive tmrw or Monday. I wanted to compare it to my FB before I send my ring in for remount. Also if you’re interested, I discovered a video on YouTube (search Forever One Moissanite then choose from FireandBrilliance channel) that compares a diamond, amora gem and the F1 moissanite. Hopes this helps!
