For example your amora gem is a 1.81 carat diamond equivalent. But the amora gem material weighs less than diamond so the actual weight may only be 1.60. However it will look like the same size as a 1.81 carat diamond.  I hope that made sense.

Mine is 1.87ct and i think it definitely looks like a 1.87 ct. The first stone i got seemed smaller than the stated ct weight and mm and i sent that one back for that reason.

Go by the mm and not the ct weight.. mine is 7.79mm

Mine is a 1.65 carat and measures 7.67 x 7.71 so it definitly looks it’s size. Amora gem is similar to how for instance not all 1.81 carat round diamonds will measure the same. But they are all within the diamond equivalent measurements for the equivalent weight.

I have an amora gem HA Round Brilliant from better than diamonds that I had placed in a verragio venetian 5024 setting that’s a halo. I found that to enable to choose the correct stone for my setting, I need to look at the diameter in mm more than the carat weight. I also found that visually the amora gems apear very very similar to the same size diamond. I love mine!!

jsuarez7809:  itll be perfect with that mm! Its going to face up VERY similar to mine. ๐Ÿ™‚ David Klass who made my ring told me to go by mm and not ctw and that was the best thing i did. I already had an asha in the setting he made me for a year before i found the amora i decided to keep and It’s exactly what i wanted and was expecting… i had a slight airline with the 7.5mm/1.5ct asha i had in my setting until i was able to pick out the amora i wanted and i was limited to a certain mm that wouldnt overpower my setting (he said max just under 8mm) and im soooo glad i went with the one i did. ๐Ÿ™‚

jsuarez7809:  ritani will need to know the length x width x depth, so give them all 3 numbers

jsuarez7809:  i went by the lower mm so 7.75 should be good! Mine was 7.79 – 7.91mm ๐Ÿ™‚ i always say 7.79

jsuarez7809:   it’s listed on the amora gem certificate. If you don’t have your stone yet then you need to email betterthandiamond.com or whoever you bought it from to find out. They need all 3 measurements to ensure a perfect fit. Here’s a certificate I found on google images for example, the depth is the 4.25mm
