@SusieNor:  i also really like the surprise diamond it has underneath! Warning though: another Bee told me that she got this ring in palladium and it wasn’t the best quality palladium, so go for white gold or platinum if you can afford it

@becleeham:  Thanks for the heads-up! I was kinda considering palladium, but my other ring is white gold, so I`ll probably order that one.

To answer your previous question, I want to order a 7mm. There is not really a culture her for big rings. So even a 7mm is really a far strech.

What size did you order? πŸ™‚ Rose gold is really beautiful!

@SusieNor:  I ordered the 7mm. I have small fingers, size 4.5 and I went into a store to try rings on. I tried on a ring with 1.25ct diamond and it was the perfect size! Noticeable but not enough to be garish looking.

I think you might be out of luck. I think they sold the last 7mm, only 8mm and bigger seem to be left for purchase on the website. Bummer

@becleeham:  Sounds like you chose the perfect size! I haven’t been able to try rings on. Jewelers here don’t have diamonds that size in stock. Where I come from, people usually just wear plain bands as both engagement and wedding rings.

I printed out the size scale though. I believe this was the 8mm, so I’m thinking the 7mm will be perfect. I’m not sure what ring size I am though, probably a good idea to find out before ordering..

I called my bank to increase my credit card limit just now, and then I logged on, just to see that they are all out of 7mm. Guess I’ll just have to wait..again πŸ™

@SusieNor:  it’s a sign! You have very slender fingers so i think a 6.5mm or 1 ct centre stone would look great on your hand also. Luckily the next size they are making is 6.5mm. Maybe you should email BTD and confirm that you are on the waiting list for at least those 2 sizes. It makes me wonder why you didnt get a notification email?

i emailed BTD about 2 months ago and they confirmed I was the list. That’s how excited I as about getting one!

by the time one is ready, you won’t have to use your credit card, so that’s always a good thing I say!

@becleeham:  Yes, I’ve sent them an e-mail to ask why I was not contacted when 7mm was available, and also if I can put myself up again for the 7-6.5mm.

I considered contacting them a while back to ask where I was on the list, worried that I would have to wait until next year. But I decided to wait a bit longer. I have been checking the btd forum/blog several times every day, because I was sure that when/if they suddenly were available for purchase, they would write something there. Imagine the surprise when I came on here, and saw that they had already been available for a couple of days :-p

I guess your right, I really dislike buying stuff on credit, even if its just for a week or so.

How long will it take for you to get the finished ring? I can’t wait to see pictures of it, I am sure its gorgeous!! πŸ™‚

@SusieNor:  Well I predict they will ship my ring in about 2 weeks time and it will take at least 1-2 weeks to make its way to Australia. So we looking at 3-4 weeks at least! Oh the pain of waiting! But trust me, there will be many pics and videos posted when I get it.

Yeah, credit cards are not good. I got myself out of credit card debt a while back and it took me years to do it. So i didnt want to use our emergency credit card for the AG. But I’m heavily pregnant at the moment, with sore back and swollen everything (plus I cant have any wine!)so my hubby let me buy something a little special for myself. Amora gem ring!

Oh and i borrowed my friends CZ ring which is approx 1.25 carat so you can see what it looks like on my hand. I’m a size 4.5 finger. I think its just the right size….

@becleeham:  Well, it will be worth it! We’ve all been waiting for so long, another month will probably be ok? :-p

Not so good news for me though. I am e-mailing with btd, and they have filled up their waiting list for 7mm, so I’m not able to sign up for that. Not sure what that really means :-S But I am having them check what might have gone wrong, since I have been on the waiting list before..

Pregnant women are definately allowed pleasures, like jewellery! How far along are you? πŸ™‚

That size looked perfect on your hand!! I can’t wait to see the ring when you get it!

I got my engagement ring measured today, and I am actually between a size 6 1/2-7. But my fingers are kinda narrow on top, so I think whatever I choose 7mm or less, will be fine πŸ™‚

Well I hope they sort it out for you. You say that around your area people wear simple rings as engagement/wedding rings. In that case, 6.5mm or 7mm would probably be perfect in the Timeless Regal ring setting. Gorgeous in fact!

im 6 months pregnant at the moment and my 5 year wedding anniversary is coming up after Christmas so I think I was due for another ring! Though I may have to get my new ring resized after the baby is born. I can’t wear my regular engagement ring at the moment as my fingers are too fat

@sparkletiger:  Yeahi think the 7mm is going to be perfect size. The CZ looks very crappy in the photos though. Hope the AG looks much better than than!

@becleeham:  I am sure it will look better than crappy CZ. In fact, I think in that size it is going to look better than bigger AGs we have already seen. I can’t wait to see your pics and videos and hear your impressions.

@sparkletiger:  I didnt mean to say that CZ is crappy, in fact, I’ve seen lots of beautiful CZ stones. The one I tried on was fairly cheap though and didnt photograph well.

I hope the 7mm looks great, I didnt actually like the 9mm AG in the Timeless Eclipse ring shown on the BTD wesbite. I dont fancy the setting at all and i think a simpller setting would work better for me.

I will practice taking video of my diamond ring before the AG ring . I’m finding it really hard to video one handed!

@becleeham:  That chunky rose gold solitaire you picked is just right, that other huge ring you are talking about is indeed way over the top and lacks any kind of elegance.

When you get your ring, it will be important to capture the performance of AG in different lighting situations. When you do your video in the sun, don’t hold it down like 19th chance did. Raise your hand up in the air and directly against the sun and slowly move the hand whilst keeping the stone in focus. After Moissanite performance thread on TFL and watching all the videos there it got me thinking that maybe AG didn’t perform great in 19th chance video because she was holding her hand down and the sun was not directly on the stone? If that is indeed the case, then that is not AG’s fault.
