@elley2012:  That is such a spectacular ring. In those photos, you cant see any colour at all! And i just love the setting. I was considering this style of ring for my ering, but my hubby wanted a round solitaire so thats what we got.

I have always thought that unenhanced moissy would show so much colour but that is just not the case. The more unenhanced moissy stones i see, the more i fall in love!

@becleeham:  Thank You! πŸ™‚ I absolutely love it but i think the settings abit too plain (you see so many fancy ones on the bee lol and get ring envy haha) I’d like to add a pave band instead of a plain one but then again you do read tons of horror stories of stones from the band going amiss, then it needs to go back to the jewellers and at the end of the day id rather have it on my hand most of the time instead of in for repairs not to mention the costs haha

I Do Love Rounds Too! So Classic And Gorgeous πŸ˜€

I think they are definitely getting better with regards to the colours on moissy! when i got mine i hadnt even looked into the treated ones, but deffo no regrets here its lovely and sparkly and thats all i wanted πŸ˜€

@elley2012:  You are welcome. By the way, the simplicity of your setting is classic and appealing. I also have my RB FB Moissy set in a simple 6 prong platinum setting. I think it gives you lots of options. You could jazz it up with a mil grain diamond stacking band or something like that.

@sparkletiger:  That sounds stunning! i love Platinum but im allergic πŸ™ lol Thats true, i never thought about it like that. Im definitely a bling girl so think my wedding band will have some sparkle in it too. I was looking at the moissy half eternity bands but they all look too wide and there would be too big a gap lol I do like your idea of stacking bands! πŸ™‚

Thank you. Here’s my stack: 6.5 mm FB RB in platinum, palladium knife edge band, and 18 k gold half eternity:

@sparkletiger:  That is one absolutely gorgeous stack of rings πŸ˜€ lol

do you find any problems with the mixed metals? my sister in laws jeweller sold her a 9ct gold wedding ring to go with her 18ct gold engagement ring, and then told her she shouldn’t have done it because they will react with one another lol

i didnt think much of the jeweller to be honest lol

@elley2012:  I don’t have any allergies or anything like that, but the way it works in my stack is that platinum solitaire is next to palladium band – they both are the same family metals and OK to wear together. Because they are both 95% pure, they are not allergenic. 18 k white gold eternity is next to palladium, palladium is not as hard as platinum so it doesn’t scratch the 18k gold band. However, the colour of 18 k gold is a bit whiter than the other too, but it is only obvious if you really have it under scrutiny.

@sparkletiger:  thats true noones going to be hacking your finger off to examine the whiteness of the metals lol! it is a very gorgeous set you have πŸ™‚ guess i just got unlucky with the allergy to platinum (probably much to the delight of my fiance’s wallet lol!!)

@elley2012:  Thank you so much! Platinum is great, but don’t feel bad about being allergic. The massive plus of white gold is you can always keep it looking new by re dipping it in rhodium. That makes it look whiter and shinier than platinum!
