emilyrose814:  I don’t really know specifics but the Amora Gem does not have the warmth that the moissy has so it resembles a diamond more than the moissy. I have owned both and I will tell you the Amora Gem wins hands down. Occasionally my moissy would look yellow on cloudy days or certain lights and it did bother me. The amora gem never looks yellow. It’s so gorgeous. If you’re color sensitive and you want something that has the colorlessness that a diamond has the Amora Gem is definitely the way you want to go.

nattybeee:  looove your ring! How big is your gem if you dont mind me asking? I like that the hearts&arrows are clear but not too dark on yours!

1.5 carat forever brilliant Old european cut moissanite on the left.

1.65 carat G Vs1 amora gem ultra on the right.

The biggest difference between them are cut and color. The amora gem ultra is cut more like a diamond and is colorless/near colorless. Since my amora gem is a G color, it does show some very slight warmth every now and then, but I think it makes it looks more diamond like.(showing warmth in pic below)

I own both, and I’d go with AG over moissy in most cases, especially for an engagement ring though.

With the AG you’ll get excellent cut, polish, etcl, whereas moissy can be hit or miss with cut and funky green/yellow undertones. Both sparkle like crazy! Mine is an OEC cut, E color, IF clarity, 2.46 cts (8.84×8.92mm)

Amora Gem all the way! What makes it better is cut and color. The cut is much better on an AG (especially if you get an Amora Gem Ultra Hearts & Arrows) and you can pick the color you want.

Mine is a 2.2 carat F color

I was in your shoes about 6 months ago. I really wanted an amora moissy, but then I still heard that it was still a little moody and the cut is very different than other stones. So I discovered the Amora Gem on this site and did a little more research an I knew this is what I wanted my Fiance to have set in my favorite setting. You won’t be dissapointed with the AG. If you dont mind the cut and moodiness of a moissy then go for a moissy since it’s cheaper! The AG is a little more money than a moissy but I think it was worth it!

emilyrose814:  Thank you!! You are all too kind.

It’s a 2ct round and it’s a D in color. I only chose D because it was the only one they had in the size I wanted at that time. I think you can get away with choosing anything E-G and be fine color wise, the only reason being because you will pay a little bit more if you go with D. It’s always beautiful and I don’t think I’ve ever thought it was too white. My fi bought the stone on his own (shipped to his house) and then took it to our local jeweler who set it in a Gabriel & co. Hope that helps with all your questions!!

nattybeee:  its gorgeous! There weren’t many options available when we bought our gem for the size I wanted, we ended up having to go a little bigger too because they don’t carry many small sized gems. I ended up going with an E but I have yet to see it ๐Ÿ™‚

lunabee11:  Rest assured you will LOVE it. I was so anxious to see mine when we ordered it. I told my fi that I had to see it right when it came to make sure I loved it because I hadn’t seen one in person. It totally blew me away when I first saw it and I fell in love! Make sure to post yours when it comes so we can see it (:

nattybeee:  Mine is actually being set by the company we bought it from so I am super nervous and excited. I won’t get to see any of it until my bf proposes. I sure will! Who knows when he proposes though haha

kindaclueless:  Why thank you!! Mine is an E, IF. I love it! I know some are concerned with it being too white but I’ve never looked and felt that way. Especially since it’s as white as the F color diamonds in my halo.

A quick video look at the color and how white and clear it is.
