I’m curious too. I dont have an amora yet. I thought they were graded as an “H”. I see on moissco that the ones graded “I”s are 8.5mm and up. what size did you get?

I think it also depends on the cut. I have heard the the round brilliant stones face up the whitest. I have an enhanced cushion and it is rated as a J. If I look at it from the side it show more yellow than if I look at it from the top.

Unfortunately I have only seen multiple Amoras compared on BTD amd while hey looked the same, pictures on the computer are never very accurate. Larger and fancier cuts tend to show more colour. Once set stones they also often appear to face up even whiter, more or less so depending on the metal used.

Personally I am excited for my unenhanced moissy OEC! I love some lower colour!

Amora fancy cuts will have more color.  Also, bigger stones will have a bit more color.  My 8 mm has a grading of H color.

@obsessivebee:   If you aren’t color sensitive, I would just go for it.  They prescreen moissanite before doing the Amora enhancement.

I have an 8mm amora moissanite set in platinum with F colored side diamonds. Face up under low light the stone looks like an F. From the side under bright light it looks like an H/I. My jeweler who set it said it was lower than an H but he didn’t say what it was. You can find pics of my ring on this website under the “Moissanite, Moissanite! Show me your moissanite!” thread. I’m happy to help anyone who has questions.

My Amora is a round brilliant cut, 6.6mm (1 Carat equivalent) and it is graded as an H, but it faces up more like an F to me.  I like that it’s not super super white (otherwise I feel like it would look too white and fake).  I love the stone and its not at all yellow to me. Here’s a picture for reference:  It’s probably going to have more color if its a different cut or a larger carat size. (that’s my guess)

Hi all. I am struggling with Amora vs Moissanite vs Asha, too. I just shot of video of all three together (unfortunately the camera work is a little blurry at times!). It’s amazing to see all three compared under different lighting conditions. Outside, each stone sings in its own way. But under other lights, they look very similar. What do you all think?  Thanks.

@dessert37 to me, the enhanced moissanite clearly is the winner! what sizes are they?

Thanks for the feedback! It’s a tough decision….arghhhh. They are all 6.5 mm or 1 ct. Here’s a pic from the video for comparison.

This is a 0.75 carat Amora Ring Bearer and it’s an H. I love it! It does not show yellow at all! or green or grey for that matter! 🙂
