I ordered an Amora and and Asha to compare. Both are 1.25 and both are really beautiful. At first I was leaning towards the Asha because it had nice big fire, and appeared whiter than the Amora.
Then I started leaning towards the Amora because when I picked them up and sat them on my hand the Asha fogged and was cold. You could definately tell a temperature difference just from being on the counter about a minute. Also the Asha, like all CZ’s is somewhat see through when turned upside down, and I can even see it as viewed from above at certain angles.
I got them both from the same company (ashadiamonds.com and moissaniteco.com) and they sent them both in the same package with NO labels!! Do they always do this? How are you supposed to know which is which if you didn’t do a lot of research?
Here are my pics, sorry they are huge. The Asha is on the left and the Moissy on the right in all these. 🙂
This photo you can kind of see through the Asha on my hand. The bottom pic you can see how you can see a little bit of the lettering through it. Also the last photo shows the difference in depth between the two. (Asha on left)
THank you for posting this! I was going to get an ASHA at first, but after talking to FI about it and finding out that it was just coated CZ, we went with moissanite (and I am so glad we did. I love it!). I hope that your post will be able to help future women find the stones of thier dreams!
@NovaRising: Yeah I guess I said that wrong. I see more fire in the Amora, but the Asha fire seems larger. The sparkles seem bigger but fewer of them, vs the Amora seems to have more all-over sparkle, almost like glitter.
I think I like the larger fire better but I hate the see-through aspect of it.
Oh, ok! Well, in that case, I’m not sure. I am actually thinking about this for myself right now. I’d pick Amora Gem if I could. I guess it depends on whether you want this to be your forever stone, or whether you plan on switching or upgrading later.
