They will sparkle the same regardless of treatment (their refractive index will not change).

I went with Amora because I know what treatment that is on the stone, whereas I do not know how they treat the FB stones. This is purely  personal preference, and I have seen some “okay” Amoras stones, some great ones, some “okay” FB stones, and some truly spectacular ones (usually hand picked by Beth over at Schubachs, seriously, the ladies eyes should be insured for millions, she’s fantastic!).

No matter what, there will be *some* tinge to the stone, it’s a part of moissanite. The Amora Gem however will be completely colorless and available in 2015, and you could always upgrade to that in two yeas and some change. 😀

@Missmimi:  We recently bought a 7.5mm Amora loose stone to use as the center in my engagement ring. I was SO worried that I’d be unhappy with it, since you read some stories about it looking all sorts of weird colors. I’m a perfectionist, and though I definitely don’t need (or really want) a diamond, I do need something clear and colorless. I was so amazed by how beautiful it was! I tested it out in all sorts of different light, and it was beautiful everywhere. I posted a few pictures below for you!

This picture (below) even had BLUE sticky-stuff holding the stone to a ring I had previously, just so I could see what it looked like with a band. In really yellow lighting. And it STILL doesn’t look colored!

Definitely go with Amora. The FB stones I’ve seen are lovely, but the whole “Is it a coating?” thing with C&C makes me wary.

I have a FB 6.5 mm cushion center stone and only see a slight tinge of warmth when in my car -surrounded by camel interior.

@Missmimi:  I know this isn’t exactly what you asked for BUT I have seen a FB vs an unenhanced moissanite and they looked the EXACT SAME! Believe it or not, both were gorgeous!! No tinge of color or anything! The jeweler even compared these two loose moissanites to a $50,000 F colored, hearts and fire diamond and they all looked almost identical. Crazy, I know.

FutureSLS:  I’m sorry I am two years late, but do you still have the ring and are happy with it? If so, did you get the AMORA Gem or the AMORA Moissy?

Thank you for answering!!
