Is there any “rule of thumb”?
My BMs are spending $135 on their dresses, $30 to get their hair done, however much on the shower (though I think my mom is paying for most of that), and we’re all going to Vegas for the bachelorette party.
I paid 50$ for each of their dresses… does it sound like I’m going overboard buying them $60 robes and $30 earrings? It would total them at $140 each

That seems like a lot of money, but it’s really a personal decision. I spent $100 on each of my girls, and I could only do that b/c there are only 2 of them.

I think it’s a personal choice how much you can/want to spend. I’m the Maid of Honor in a wedding next month and she is spending around $70 per bridesmaid.

My bridesmaids will be paying for their dresses $180, $40 for shoes, and I gave them the option if they want their hair and make-up done or not. Hair is $25 and make-up is $25. Then they have whatever they end up spending for a shower/bachelorette party.
I’m buying my girls a wristlet from Express ($25), personalized stationery from Etsy.com ($15), a flower for their hair for the wedding ($10), a coin pearl necklace from Etsy.com ($20), and a reusabile shopping bag in my wedding colors ($2). I’m still considering buying them earrings for $15 from Etsy.com.
If they’re going to Vegas for your bachelorette party, I don’t think $140 is too much. I think it’s really however much you want to spend on your girls. I’m considering putting a little money towards their dresses. I think your girls will love their gifts!

How much to spend is really a matter of your personal finances. I know I personally will not be able to afford to spend $100 on each of my girls. Not because I don’t love and appreciate them, but because there are six of them. So I will buy them nice, reasonable and thoughtful gifts, which I think ultimately matters more than an exact numeric value. 🙂
