(Closed) amsale bridesmaids dresses forgiving?

My BMs wore the G558C.  It actually has more of an empire waist and is extremely forgiving and comfortable (so I was told) so I would go with that if there is a weight loss or gain in the future.

All of the dresses were too big for my girls, even though they were measured.  But that is just that one particular dress, I can’t necessary be certain about the others.

These are my bm dresses as well and the sales consultant told us that, for most styles, the waist and hip measurements don’t matter as much as the chest measurements since they are fairly flowy throughout the waist hips. So, your bm would probably be ok in the 12, especially if she is plannng to shed a few pounds!

@sepilove:  I would check with the store to see what they think though. I don’t want to lead you astray! That is just the advice we were given by our sales associate and I know one of my bm ordered a slightly smaller size than her measurements would have suggested and she was fine. Good luck!

I always feel like salons push people to order up a size so they can make money off the alterations! That’s my conspiracy theory…
