She does not seem like the type of person who would want a large ring.
People are so shallow. I agree, some people WANT smaller diamonds. I work with a doctor (her husband is a big wig CEO) and she wanted a ring with a few small flush diamonds in it. Trust me they could afford a massive diamond ring, but that’s just not her. Her ring is BEAUTIFUL.
People will comment on anything. Amy Schumer doesn’t even really wear jewelry to big red carpet events… I agree with you all – her ring is beautiful, and very typical of her style. Social constructs of how things should be stink.
Good for her! I can’t imagine her with some big, giant diamond. She seems so genuinely happy. How could anyone criticize/question it?
Doesn’t matter the size of the ring!
I fail to see what is so awful about Amy’s ring.
I think judging a symbol of anyone else’s relationship is a total jerk move.
Women who make fun of other women with small rings clearly have an inferiority complex… It’s like the female version of men comparing their dicks.
“Mine’s bigger!”
“No, MINE’S bigger!!”
I love Amy’s ring and applaud her for not falling victim to the whole “the size of the rock determines your man’s love and social status” scam.
Unbelievable. I overheard a girl talking to her fiance about “X” friend she ran into (who was also enganged) and she smugly told him “my diamond was bigger than hers and I bet her band wasn’t even platinum.” It made me cringe and respect that person less. It screams major insecurities about the person and it’s a tacky thing to comment on.
I hope Schumer starts a trend to break the social stigma of having a small ring. It’s personal preference. WHO CARES?
Wow I think her ring is beautiful and suits her! Do women really have that much time on their hands to shame others about their engagement rings? It is not a competition! I’m certain Amy and her husband could afford a bigger ring, which means this is probably the size she wanted. Smh. Just let people live their life!
unicornwolf : okayyyyyy…heck yes to the size of the diamond not mattering and wearing what you love but…her stone seems kinda big to me? Maybe I’m bad a judging sizes but it looks like at least 1 ct, if not 1.5….Since when it that small????
Since she makes her living making fun of people (and she’s not funny) I couldn’t care less.
Also since when should people have a giant ring just because they can afford it? It’s an expression of personal style not a status symbol…. at least it should be….
