Thank you to all the mods for modeling grace and patience under fire.  You didn’t deserve the attacks this weekend (especially you, Bakey), but I am always impressed with your composure on the boards.  Well done!

And thanks to Penguin who is taking a lot of blame for circumstances outside of her control.  I know you’re working around the clock right and must be exhausted; thank you for your dedication and hard work in making this community what it is!

I stayed quiet this weekend but I appreciate everything you and the moderation team do to keep this a calm and welcoming enviornment. In my mind, the lack of control this weekend just goes a long way in showing the need for the level of moderation WB tries to uphold. I know a lot of members make noise about wanting less moderation but look at what happens when they get it. I am so sorry that people said horrible things to and about the moderation team and about other members in general. I am amazed that some members spoke up loudly about how wrong bullying is in other threads but thought nothing of behaving that way themselves. Thank you for everything you and the mods do! It is tough work but all of you do a great job!

Thank you mods and Pengy!  Yours are jobs that I know I wouldn’t be capable of successfully performing, and I think you handled the events of the weekend beautifully, particularly considering the circumstances.  It’s because of you all that we have this wonderful wedding community to begin with, and for that I think we can all be grateful.  🙂  Much love to you all!!

It was really frustrating to read those threads and see people continually complain about the mods/hostesses/whatever even after explanations had been given by penguin. A handful of posters really just wanted every last detail of what happened, and weren’t going to stop until they got them. Hopefully now that time has passed, everyone can see how out of control it was. I tried to be the voice of reason a few times, but it was futile!

@BooRadley:  Yes, we did PM last night.  You responded saying you understood why a certain thread was closed, and that was that.  You said nothing else to me, and if you had more to say I would have appreciated another PM reply.  Thank you for deciding to eventually edit your comment in this thread, but I’m not sure why you felt the need to post the same thing here, in Support, and in a PM to me.  It makes me sad because we already opened the discussion and if my answer was not satisfactory enough I would have appreciated that you continued to express that to me last night.

Wow, this is supposed to be a fun forum for all of us to share things, it’s really too bad that others take it to the extreme. If you feel like being snarky or rude in a post, be an adult and walk away.  I’m so sorry the mods had to go through this.

This really seems to have been an impossible situation, with no good, clear, easy solutions, and I really appreciate how level-headed the moderation and admin’s response has been. I’m so sorry some of you have been singled out and attacked, that wasn’t fair. Many thanks for your often thankless work!
