Gorgeous ring! I love antiques and this one is stunning!!

Our stories are similar. We met on Plenty of Fish and it was my last day. I was so sick of the dates-gone-bad I decided to delete my profile for good. I checked my messages one last time and there he was. It was fate 🙂 Congrats!

@LizzieMo: First of all, I LOVE Domo-Kun!

Second, that is so adorable, and I’m so glad the online-dating thing worked for you after all!

@LizzieMo: My Fiance and I met through Craigslist however it was totally a joke. I was posting for a friend to prove a point (posted a sexy/come hither posting and a normal posting). My Fiance just happened to responsd to the normal posting and while I wasn’t looking to meet someone his email just struck a chord with me.

On a side note several of my friends have been rejected from E-Harmony for various reasons, kind of sad if you ask me.

DH and I met on match.com!  Again, my subscription was about to expire and I had had nothing but bad/weird experiences.  I got on to cancel and, lo and behold, there was this email from this cute guy with a GORGEOUS dog.  We talked through email and eventually over the phone for a month before we met in person.  I always tell him the only reason I answered was because of his dog, lol!

I know that this is an old post but I just wanted to say that I LOVE that your ring has other peoples initials inside and has that history, very unique.

My fiance and I met when we were 17, this was over 10 years ago when AOL had been the cool thing for at least 5 years and people had Yahoo profiles for just normal chatting, not for dating etc.  We both had an interest in the history of the old West, Louis Lamour novels, the movie Tombstone and Lane Frost and bullriding. So it was christmas break our Senior year and we were both bored on the computer, one of us saw the others profile and struck up a conversation.   We both had a bit of a crush and talked practically every day until school started back up.

 We stayed in touch on and off in college and then lost touch.  In 2007 he finally joined facebook, I had searched for him a lot and never found him but he had added me and at the time was in a pretty serious relationship to which I found I was kinda disappointed about.

In 2009 I had a bad car accident that I was lucky to have survived. I lost phone numbers as my phone was gone and he texted me that summer  “Remember Love of a Lifetime?”  (the song by Firehouse)  and I did not know the cell number. Which prompted me telling him about the accident and us being a bit more in touch, up to November when he asked me if I was seeing anyone and if there was anyone special and I said no, and he said ‘well this is me pursuing you.”  keep in mind I lived in Michigan, he in Kansas and we had never officially met face to face. We started to talk future possibilities and plans and of course actually meeting.

He drove all the way here after work and arrived the morning of Thanksgiving, met me in my driveway for a huge hug, met my parents for Thanksgiving about 2 hours later, let me drag him to all sorts of special places  and then met half of my family that Saturday.  What a good sport.  We drove together to St Louis, MO to spend a few days together and we truly fell in love and solidified what we suspected we had. Then it was so hard when I flew home, he drove home.  After that we visited eachother 5 more times, him here and me there before his house in Kansas sold in July 2010 and he moved here in August.  We were offcially engaged last September and of course will be married in 7 weeks!

  So in a nutshell that is our story!

Fiance and I met 3 1/2 years ago on Myspace (back when Myspace was cool). He found me and thought I was cute. We talked on there for a few days and decided to meet up. I took my roommate with me (never know who you’re meeting), and he talked to her more than me! A couple of days later we went to dinner. And our real first date was a little after that. He took me to a drag race. We were separated for awhile because I moved home to my dad’s for summer. When my mom moved less than thirty minutes from where Fiance lived, I moved in with her. We saw each other almost every evening and talked online every night. We moved in together about a month later and have been inseperable ever since.

We have a Domo too. He is sitting on FI’s computer desk.

@LizzieMo: First, congratulations on your engagement 🙂 I think that is just the cutest proposal story I have ever read, so unique!

I met my SO on craigslist. He wrote a very nice, straightforward personals ad and I just had to respond. We’re not engaged… yet. I know my ring is coming within a year, though. So excited! I think it’s great that the internet has helped so many people find their perfect match.
