we met on match.com and are about to celebrate our 1 year anniversary! Everyone laughed at me for dating online but I found an amazing guy! I knew the first week that he was the one for me! (Yes I know that sounds crazy! Lol) we went out for the first time on Christmas Eve and he showed up with a jersey from my favorite team and a rose! He has kept the romance going and so have I. I’ve never met a more thoughtful person! Hopefully we’ll be engaged soon too! (Fingers crossed) Congrats on your engagment!

My SO and I met on deafpals.com think Facebookish. He actually had a girlfriend at the time when he saw my profile and messaged me for someone to talk to. We talked for a few weeks non-stop and agreed to meet halfway to spend the day together. It was the best day of my life! ๐Ÿ™‚

I will never forgive myself for “stealing” him from her, but holy I’m glad I did! He’s my bestfriend and my soulmate!

My b/f and I also met on E-harmony. After having gone through a long, dry spell with NO dates whatsoever, I joined E-harmony because my cousin kept nagging me to do it.

Well, within a day of joining, my sweetheart was the first guy to email me. We went on our first date several weeks later, and this Christmas will be our two year anniversary.

I think we were meant to be because after we started dating, we discovered that our paths had almost crossed several times over the years. For example, we discovered we had been to the same parties, shopped at the same grocery store for years, and he even had one of my neighbors as one of his business clients. I guess it just took the internet to finally bring us face to face!

We’ve already talked about getting married, and we’re planning to move in together this Christmas when I’m on vacation for two weeks. He hasn’t “formally” proposed with a ring and all of that, BUT… last night he said he said he thought it would be nice if we quietly got married at Christmas and then after we finish settling in and things slow down at work for both of us, we can have a renewal of vows ceremony or a reception later on. He must have read my mind because that’s what I’ve been thinking lately too!

Then he told me to expect a big surprise for my birthday in two weeks. I think this is it…. and I can’t wait!

I’m praying with all of my heart for a ring and an old fashioned proposal on my birthday. (sigh)

But yes, E-harmony does work! I cringe to think that I almost didn’t join because I was afraid I would only meet weirdos. If I hadn’t gotten out of my comfort zone,  I would have missed finding my sweetie.

After we are married I definitely plan on writing to E-harmony to share our success story and to thank them for bringing us together!

In the meantime I am having major fantasies about changing my name and all of that. Sigh!

Fiance and I met on E-Harmony too :).
After some really horrible dates, I decided I was just done in general (for a while lol) and didnt even want to be on eharmony at all. I had cancelled my subscription but was told since it was a ‘promotional holiday weekend’ that my subcription wouldnt be cancelled until the following Tuesday. Fiance took advantage of the ‘free communication weekend’ and messaged me. We talked all weekend and then by e-mail and eventually by phone. We first met a week after that first message on e-harm and that’s where it all started. Alomst 3 years ago (in Feb). The wedding is in Jan  ๐Ÿ™‚
