Katiebear31:  Enamel chips fairly easily, and would not likely last a lifetime. I don’t know about your guy, but my DH is very rough on stuff (his ring had a ton of scratches, etc after wearing it for less than a week!).

They make black & silver rings that incorporate carbon fiber, which is more durable.

ETA: I’m sure they make them black and gold, too. Didn’t read your post correctly.

Your better off getting black rhodium “black gold”  Enamel chips easy and wouldn’t hold up especially if hes hard on his hands. You can get black tungsten carbide bands too.

Found this:

Care needs to be taken with some enamel rings and jewellery so they are not dropped on stone floors or hard surfaces.  Silver and enamel rings must not be worn next to rings on the immediate finger or abrasion may damage the enamel.  We also would advise to take off silver and enamel rings for outdoor sports, activities when lifting heavy object such as a table and gardening.  Although enamel is coloured glass it is reasonably hard wearing but needs to be treated with an element of care.

Might not be the best choice for you after all 🙁

Here one that’s rose gold and black rhodium from shaneco. I’m sure you could find a black and yellow gold ring too.
