If he wants you to have soething simpler to wear on its own, you could just get a plain band?

My e-ring doesn’t have any stones, but I don’t plan on getting a wedding band too, it can double up. I like the ring as is and don’t see the point in a second ring just because…

That’s totally fine and up to you, but have you tried just a plain wedding band?

The way the shank on your e ring is, it seems like you could go with a thin straight diamond band.

TBH I don’t think it really matters what you wear! My parents have been married over 30 years and neither of them wear a wedding band. So you do you boo!

annann91 :  no way. engagement ring only looks like you are single or engaged. i second moving the e ring to the other hand and getting some sort of wedding band

That’s a tricky one to match. I think it looks beautiful on its own.

One of my extra rings is a very delicate thin ring with tiny but very bright sparkly diamonds. It’s exquisite, but I don’t know that even something that dainty would look right with your ring. Even a very thin thin plain band, hammered or whatever, would offset the look probably not in a good way. I think the issue is that your ring is just so balanced with the split (two) shank look that anything added to it might make it look off-balance.

You already own a “set” I don’t see the issue.

annann91 :  I think your engagement ring is beautiful and I can see why it would be hard to find a band that doesn’t take away from it.  I think a lot of rings look better by themselves anyway.

I had planned on wearing my e-ring and wedding band on separate hands because my e-ring had a split shank and halo and would have needed a curved band.  Plus, it took up a lot of space on my finger and I didn’t want anything too bulky.

I wore the rings separately for a month or so (I bought a diamond wedding band) and found myself wanting to wear them together.  I reset my diamond in a solitaire setting with side diamonds and had my two rings soldered together so now it’s very comfortable.  I tried wearing my e-ring on my right hand and wedding band on left, but it was too uncomfortable for me as I’m right handed and kept banging my e-ring since it sat up.

I’m not suggesting you reset your ring, just wanted to tell you what I did.  I know several women that only wear one ring after they’re married.  One woman I work with has a beautiful ring that looks like a flower and she had the same problem as you where nothing looked good with it.  She has a wedding band that she wears on her right hand and she said no one has ever asked if she’s married or not.  My sister’s ring is very similar to yours and she bought a thin diamond band for each side and had all the rings soldered together.  It’s gorgeous.

You could also buy some cz bands from Berricle and see if they have a size that would go with your ring.  Then if you find something, bring it to a jeweler and tell them you want your ring made with those particular size stones.

FWIW I don’t think you need a band and you would be fine just wearing one ring.

just another thought, would it look better with a band on each side? I think the symmetry of your e-ring might work better if there was a wedding ring on each side.
