Hello everyone! thanks to a wonderful bee for providing me this information! An etsy seller https://www.etsy.com/listing/201913565/121ct-h-vs2-gia-emerald-cut-diamond?confirm_reported=1 stole my wedding set design and worse, my own photo without my permission! I understand that a lot of people or even vendors would copy designs etc. but at least have the decency on actually making the jewelry first and take a photo of what you actually made, instead of stealing a photo with a design that was designed and made by someone else! I’ve seen this happen on bee before, but I didn’t expect that I would be next!

That is F’d up. Maybe you should contact the seller and ask them to remove your photo since it’s considered your intellectual property?

I know that wasn’t very constructive, but it bugs me everytime I hear about stuff like this! How hard is it to send you a message and ask you if they can use your photo?! Sorry this happened to you 🙁

Wowww. That’s your exact photo? This is a new level of weird that I’ve never even seen before! I would be contacting the seller and reporting them to Etsy.

I reported the product not long ago and also messaged her. I know a few bees have seen my set here, so they might be familiar with it lol. What’s annoying is that, this seller doesn’t seem to take pride of her product to steal a photo of a ring that was made by a different jeweler. mine was made by Adiamor after telling them how I want my ring to look. The wedding band design was inspired by a jewelry company located here in Japan, except that I made some changes on mine, like adding milgrain detailing and had Adiamor made it as well to get it costumised.

Mrs.DK: did you contact Etsy? They are cracking down on these illegitimate sellers. Many have disappeared over the last 6 months. Which is a good thing.
*edit*
Saw the update, I hope they get them off quickly

I don’t think you’re the only one… I’m on page 45 of 94 pages of listings and some of those handshots looks very familiar. I think one of them is Blake Lively’s set.

Definitely report them to etsy. That violates sooooo many rules.

bphi163: I know right? At least a message asking me would be better lol or at least make her own and actually show a product she actually made even if the design was copied!

psychobabble: yes! I was actually gonna suggest to everyone to check since I’ve also seen some very familiar designs or photos that are probably owned by some bees! Maybe you could report her as well. The more people who will report her, the faster they will fix this problem. Using other people’s photos is just plain lazy.

Mrs.DK: I know this isn’t the point of the post…but I have to say your rings are STUNNING.

WestCoastV: Thank you! ^_^
Can.I.Be.Mrs.C.: I’d actually be flattered if others want the same rings as mine, but it would be horrible if someone bought from her and realized that the ring didn’t look like the photo because the photo is not hers! I’m especially proud of my band because I personally made changes to it that I have never seen online lol.
