Maybe some more desired deets? Are you looking tropical, domestic, to do nothing, to visit something? How long are you planning to stay?

Being from Hawaii, I’m a BIG proponent of resorts on Maui (my home island) & there are a few you can stay for under $2000 for 5-7 days.

i would check out bookit.com and cheapcaribbean.com obsessively. i’ve seen a LOT of 50%-60% off sales for all-inclusive resorts recently. i know i’ve seen some on bookit.com for around $900/person, all inclusive.

good luck!

edit: since i’m booking a hotel on bookit.com for another trip, i just clicked on the home page that said 60% mexico–i put the week after your wedding and the first result was Now Jade Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa (formerly New Husband Riviera Cancun) – All-Inclusive for $810 a person..6 nights 🙂 go check that site!! 🙂

When we were booking our honeymoon, the Rivera Maya always had good deals. You may want to check into that.

come to new orleans you’re not that far now we’re warm we’ve got good food and things to see/do and you could have a great time on that budget but since i’m sure you want tropics warm *and damn this oil spill for messing with our gulf states mexico would prolly be your best bet as far as prices go

If you’re trying to stay within a certain budget, I would really recommend that you consider going some place amazing, but for 4 or 5 nights, rather than going someplace that has medicore food and allows kids, for 7 nights.

With your budget, your best bet will be Mexico for an all inclusive. One of the Palace Resorts or Barcelo would likely work.

Good luck!!
