@Theresa90405:  The photos aren’t bad but this is a bit trendy for me, I don’t know…

Cute idea, but I would never put documenting one of the biggest days of my life into the hands of 100 cell phones.

I wouldn’t do this. I would like the instagram filter for one, maybe two pics. After that I get so, so tired of it.

I think that’s awesome.

@Theresa90405:  I think if you had an actual wedding photographer as well, this would piss him/her off to no end. I had enough trouble trying to photograph a wedding recently where three other people thought they were the photographers, too, because they shelled out $2k+ for nice DSLRs.

@EffieTrinket:

I thought, from the blog, the person that took the pics is a photographer, and the choice of iPhone+Instagram was a specific request of the bride and groom.

@EffieTrinket:

Haha. I was at a wedding last year where I couldn’t see the bride and groom actually exchange rings because *everyone* stood up to get video of the moment. I didn’t miss it, though, cause I watched it on like seven tiny LCDs around me. I guess that’s just how we roll these days. (I’m ashamed; I giggled outloud at all the cameras. It was an accident and I was so embarrassed, though I don’t think anybody noticed.)

@Elvis:  Not sure. A PP mentioned 100 cell phones, and I was just thinking that if I had had to get dozens of other “photographers”  the eff out of the way so that I could get a clear shot without other photogs in the frame, I’d have committed homicide. It was hard enough when I was just working with SO to keep one another out of the shots! (Granted, we’re amateurs, but still.)

If everyone at the wedding was also taking iphone photos while he was getting those shots, and he managed to get shots this good, he deserves a medal. Not sure whether to nominate him for a Pulitzer, or a place in the sainthood.

If you want an instagram wedding, go back to 1966 and have your photos taken.

I hate crappy, washed out photo effects.

Though the pics in the first link turned out fine, the stuff I see posted online these days is irritating.  People are going to regret not taking clear, vibrant photos of their children after this trend is over.

@Elvis:  I worry about this at our wedding. I wonder if there’s something I could put in the programs to the effect of “sit the eff down and put yo damn phone away”. Maybe I could blame it on the photographers? To me, it really ruins the effect to see the little black squares in front of a quarter of the guests’ faces.

I would hate it. I hate the Instagram fad right now, sorry I lived in the 70’s and lot of the Instagram pictures remind of 70’s photography..
