I had given up doing favors because of budget, and I am doing 90% of time consuming projects myself. Future Mother-In-Law mentions repeatedly that any favor would be nice, and had all these ideas I knew were more than she or I wanted pay. We decided on little already wrapped chocolates at the tables. Nothing fancy, but would work.
Well, yesterday I get a call from Future Mother-In-Law saying
“I am the dumbest person!” okay…. why?
Well, thier company drop ship bulbs and flower arrangments for their business, and they got a shipment of Harry Davids chocolate boxes (4/box) that werent as advertised to customers, so the company gets to keep them. 500 boxes!!! She didnt think about it until the lady who works with for a sales company asked if Future Mother-In-Law knew about a brides bulb favors est finish date. (Thier bulbs are planted this time of year for next spring, so makes a great summer wedding favor.) *light bulb* Use the bulbs as favors and they already have the stuff to wrap them!!! Then The lady asked how the employees were liking the chocolates… I guess after a ubrupt hang up, Future Mother-In-Law was seen running to the break room yelling “no one touch the chocolates!!” well, by then out of the 500, there were only 85 left. We decided on one bulb/person, and 1 box of chocolates/couple.
Fiance came home with 5 boxes in his hand, and I told him by no means tell his mom he has them or she will steal them right out of his hands. He works there but doesnt see her much in his area of the company, and had no idea of the funny antics his mom did. I really wish there was a video camera to watch because she is so funny, it must have been really funny to see.
