As many of you know, Mr. Torrid came to visit last week! I took him back to the airport on Sunday.
I was very good about talking about engagements! It’s a lot harder when the guy is right there in front of you, for sure! I cooked for him delicious meals and other things I normally do not do because I guess I don’t want him to get too comfortable with the way things are I don’t want to become too “wifey” without being engaged, I suppose. (Please don’t take this as me trying to “punish” him or anything, it’s not like that at all.) I wanted him to see what it would be like to actually live with me. We don’t live together and won’t until we are married.
Anyway, he actually took notice of these things!
He said he is really excited to live with me because he feels the happiest he’s ever felt just being with me. Cooking special dinners really meant a lot to him, too.
From there, I didn’t have to bring up engagements: he did it himself!
He told me multiple times that I fulfill his emotional and physical needs, and give him peace of mind. That meant a lot to me. He said ideally he would have gotten me a 24k gold ring, but pure gold is too soft by itself, so he had to get something else. (He has the ring, for those who did not know.)
He just kept talking about rings like it was no big deal, and then turned and asked me, “What if we just went to Vegas and got married? Just the two of us? I know it’s not ideal for you…but I was thinking that maybe we spend the money on taking a nice honeymoon. What do you think of Greece?”
Greece is a place I’ve been dying to go to. It would be amazing! He told me to think about it and we’ll talk about it again next time we see each other…which is May 23rd. 🙂
Needless to say, he did not propose, but I feel like it’s so close! I’m hoping he will do it when I visit in a few weeks, because after that we won’t see each other until August. So fingers crossed! I think this progress is great! <3
Love you all!
