Yes, I live here on O’ahu and my fiance was born and raised here so it it makes sense. Besides, all my guests are scattered between here, California, Washington, New Zealand, and Japan, so Hawaii is the most central location for all of my peeps.
Our venue will be Sunset Ranch Hawaii. We did have a look at Kualoa and it was pretty, but Sunset Ranch was more along what we had in mind. Our wedding will be in December.
It’s quite possible that there will be others out there, but I like to approach dress shopping in a similar manner to the way I approached men when I was still dating, all those years back. I don’t think it’s wise to keep shopping around for the best deal for an extended period of time, thinking that there might be a better one around the corner, else I never be satisfied. I guess what I’m saying is, I’m not looking for the most gorgeous dress out there I could possibly find. But I do want to wear a dress that makes me feel beautiful and confident, as well as feeling very much “me”; and I did feel that trying on dresses; especially E and F (and also A!). I felt so happy seeing myself in the mirror– and maybe it was more the thought that it made it “real” that I would be getting married to the man that helps me be the happiest, most confident, and most authentic version of myself I could be. I was just held back by dresses that were over my original budget, as the mom’s voice within me repeats “are you sure?” “are you sure?” which can drive a girl bonkers, even when it’s not the real mom’s voice!

C G OR E. You’re rocking them all though!

My top choice is G because it looks so stunning and I love the unique detailing, but if you like F the best then you should get it! It looks great on you also. (Ruffles just aren’t my personal style, but nothing wrong with them! I see what you’re saying about the dragon thing too. So fun!) I had a super tough time deciding on dresses and ended up picking one that was more elaborate/dramatic/got a better reaction from people at the store, but then switched to the one I felt was the most “me” and I’ve been soooo happy with my decision ever since. So I’d say the one that makes you feel the most like yourself is probably the best bet.
Also, I’m originally from Oahu too! 🙂

I think G is the winner! I think the strapless sweetheart suits you really well–I know you mentioned that it wasn’t as flattering but I think the way the dress fits you is amazing! Also I loooove the detail on that dress.

These are beautiful! I am a big fan of simple and clean dresses especially for beach/outdoor weddings. Dress B would look lovely paired with a lace edge veil and looks very fitting for a Hawaii wedding. Dress G and H look beautiful on your figure, and I love the crisp color and straps on dress H. B and H are my favorites!

I do like the simplicity of B too. Here is a closer up side view of B (I zoomed into the mirror image.)

If you choose F we will be dress twins!!!!!
F is obviously my favorite. But if you go with that one I’d order soon. I ordered mine in March, and it won’t arrive until end of August.
