- Wedding: October 2014
It seems halloween is an AWFUL date for a wedding. Almost every venue I’ve talked to is already booked [for 2014], or they have some sort of town-wide thing going on [kids party, halloween festival, other type of festival.. bingo night?!].
Holy frustrated batman.
So I’ve expanded how far we are willing to drive, and once again, went on a mindless webfest of searching for venues.
I’ve contacted all of the following, please jeebus let something be available!
My Top Pick : The Moses Fowler HouseIt was built in 1851, and has went under some serious renovations.
Front of the house :
Back of the house [parking is located at the back of the house as well :
One of my favorite parts : A lovely covered porch [can anyone say cocktail hour?!]
And here’s some extra pictures just because!
Next favorite is Ross Hills – These pictures are SO small and horrible, but it’s all I could find on it. [it’s actually a campground that has a large Aframe, Chapel & Dining Hall. I wouldn’t be using the chapel though :
The A-frame [ceremony]
The reception space [which is HUGE] :
And just for kicks, the chapel we WON’T be using :
I contacted 3 more venues, but they aren’t that great, nothing special really.
Anyone else have a super rough time finding a venue that was available for your date? How did you keep sane?!
