Just saw my Fiance off to the airport.
He’s going back to the UK again.
We spent the past week and a half together and it was fantastic. That’s the longest we’ve spent together since he took the job in the UK in March.
He’s only gone for a week and a half this time, but I swear every time he goes it’s harder.
My consolation is there is only one more time after this he will leave for the UK without me. After that, we will leave for the UK together as husband and wife.
So I’m here, sipping a homemade bloody mary and looking to the bee (and the Millionaire Matchmaker marathon) for distraction.
What are all of you up to tonight?

I’m sorry he is gone sweetie! My husband just left until Tuesday and then he will leave on Friday for about two weeks. It sucks for sure!

I’m sorry hun. That must be so hard, I don’t think I would be strong enough to do that. It is great news that you are moving together soon though, congrats.

Oh, that stinks. But at least its not for that long this time.
Hubs is outside working on my car, and I’m inside vedging and about to watch HIMYM

@MrsSaltWaterTaffy: It’s strange, even though I know he’ll be back in a week and a half, it’s still hard to say goodbye.
@Mrs.ChubbyBunny: Yeah, it was a tough change. We had been living together 2 1/2 years and then he got this opportunity in the UK. I am SO excited to move there with him, but I have to stay here to finish up packing/wedding planning before I can go.
Thankfully the next week and a half I will up in Maine doing wedding stuff and staying with Future Mother-In-Law (who I love) so that should help the time pass.

@MrsSl82be: I love HIMYM… SUCH a great show.

I’m with you. My Fiance is gone M-F for roughly 42 weeks of the year for his job. He’s currently doing laundry so he can pack to leave again tomorrow at 5:30am. Sucks doesn’t it?
Bloody Mary’s totally help. I think I’m about to start drinking as well. Cheers to us. 🙂

Yeah, I hear ya. My husband’s gone for a year for military training, then will be gone 6-8 months out of the year every year at the bottom of the ocean…. ugh.
It sucks, but seeing him again after a separation is the BEST feeling in the world!!! 🙂

@KatNYC2011: Me too, hubs and I love it! We are so Lily and Marshall 🙂
Is the move to the UK permanent?

You’ll be up my way and getting married in the beautiful mid-coast before you know it:) As for me-just chillin’ and waiting for Drop Dead Diva and Breaking Bad….tick-tock…

@KristenGotMarried: It really does! I guess it says good things about your relationship that you are always sad to see him go!
I figure I’m also helping with the packing by having this bloody mary. We can’t ship the vodka so I might as well drink it!
Is your Fiance in consulting? That sounds like a consulting schedule.

@KatNYC2011: girl…i know how you feel. I just took my Fiance to the airport today too. I won’t get to see him for 2 months. 🙁 I know some of you probably have to wait a lot longer…but it still sucks! 🙁 I am watching a marathon of Extreme Coupons! lol…
I still get nervous when he travels…do any of yall?

@PutABirdOnIt: I really like Drop Dead Diva. I had my doubts when it first came one, but it surprised me!

@KatNYC2011: This is true. I think it also says good things that we’re able to handle the distance without too many problems, you know? My store keeps me SUPER busy so that helps too. And my hobbies, which include running and making jewelry, both of which I love and hate a lot sometimes. 🙂
Not a consultant, but very close. He’s a national trainer, currently working on a project to train all of the markets on the new way to do things. This’ll last at least another 2 years, then he’ll either go to training new hires (still traveling) or taking over the world (also still traveling but with better perks 😉 ).
I hope it doesn’t last forever, but it works for us for now.

@DreamsDoComeTrue: I was watching extreme couponing until I saw millionaire matchmaker was on. I may go back and forth a bit.
I hear you, I know a lot of others see their FIs/DHs off for much longer periods of time, but it seems no matter how long, saying goodbye is still so hard.
@MrsSl82be: UK is for at least 2 years, then we decide whether to stay or not. I wouldn’t be surprised if we were there for longer.
@PutABirdOnIt: I LOVE your neck of the woods. Can’t wait to spend most of the next month and a half up there.
