Yeeaahhhhh that’s weird.  Pretty sure that being in a wedding party doesn’t require you to commit any infidelities against your spouse.  Or perhaps I missed the memo that she received.

She is insane! With my cousin’s wedding, a GM’s wife was jealous he’d be paired with another woman, so she demanded to be a bridesmaid and paired with him, or that he not be in the wedding.  She was refused, and her husband stayed in the wedding.  So she threatened to ruin the wedding! My cousin was nervous, the crazy lady was invited as a guest, but ended up not coming which was probably for the best.  Thank goodness her threats to make a scene were empty!

To answer your question: Crazy people. Crazy people ask to be BM’s. There is a girl that lives with DH’s parents; she’s 23, and has a LOT of issues. They call her DH’s sister, even though he didn’t grow up with her and doesn’t even like her. When we were getting married, this girl asked me more than once to be a bridesmaid. I was offended at first, but I quickly realized that girl’s got issues and she doesn’t realize how inappropriate it is to ask something like that.

i would have flat out said NO, you are implying that had dresses not be ordered, etc that she could be a Bridesmaid or Best Man.

@MrsC2014:  Well, THAT just happened.  How does a person like this function?  Where’s the line?  Can his desk be next to another woman at work?  Can they be paired up on a project?  What if he’s in the line at the bank and it’s a female teller?  Or god forbid!  A female doctor?  How does one live AND keep their wife from getting upset?

That’s really strange. I wouldn’t even know how to handle the situation because it’s just so damn ridiculous.

@MrsC2014:  Lol, I’m just hoping and praying that she’s not that crazy! She sounds scary.
