- Wedding: August 2014
I’ve been wedding shoe obsessed for months, and it’s finally time to pull the trigger because dress fittings are upon me! Where did the time go? I have been imagining myself with some gorgeous and splurge-worthy shoes for my wedding day, because seriously… it’s my wedding day. And because, well, shoes. And thus, the internal argument begins.
“You know you won’t be able to wear those all night!” says my practical side.
Well, no… but I’ll just buy a pair of gorgeous sandals for the reception! More shoes, yay!
“Wait, more shoes? And switching heel heights? You know your dress will be dragging the floor!”
True… but look at these Stuart Weitzman jelly sandals! *drooling* It’ll be worth it!
“But you don’t really wear silver shoes, or ivory, or blush. Chances are you’ll be wasting an insane amount of money on shoes you won’t wear again!”
Ugh. But wait- what about these nude Louboutin wedges? I’d totally wear these again.
“Ha! You and I both know you will fall flat on your face. Do you not remember your reception venue has stairs?”
Listen, you make a suggestion then- this should be interesting!
“Boom. Sofia Z, supreme comfort peep toe pumps. They have the word comfort right in the name! Supreme comfort! And they’re on sale too- $290, now $130. A practical shoe, a practical price, no second pair needed. And trust me, no one cares.”
But… Well… Hmph. [gets out credit card] We’ll see.
Chalk one up for my practical side.
