@ladyamalthea:  I was constantly dreaming that it was time to walk down the aisle and my hair and makeup weren’t done. Panicked rushing to get myself together.

Day of? I was fully ready 30 minutes ahead of schedule :). The dreams are normal!

I’m not the only one!?! Phew! I’ve had a few already. Two I remember:

1. Morning of the wedding and I realized I forgot to buy a veil. So the girls and I are running around the city, trying to find something. David’s Bridal is closed. Michael’s is sold out of the tulle to make one. We go into a Toys R Us and find a child’s pink princess hat with pink sparkley tulle. I wore that. I also wore a pink Steelers jersey instead of a dress, but no idea why.

2. Two friends from the bridal party arrive at the reception, look around, say, “This is just a bar??!” and leave. Along the way, they encourage our guests to join them in their own personal bar crawl (instead of my reception.)

I’m not bothered or concerned about the wacky scenarios in the dreams. I wake amused and want to know what might have happened next.

Oh geez… we had a tiny wedding and I had nightmares most nights for the week before the wedding. Before that I had a few unpleasant dreams.. but the week before was the worst.

Wedding went fine. My dreams were always about something going wrong/running out of time/etc. The worst one was 2 days before the wedding where I dreamed I got dumped :'(

Ugh wedding dreams are the worst! I’ve had a handful or so. Nothing too extreme but enough to feel panicked anyway!

I’m  2 months away and the dreams are more frequent and intense. They’ve ranged from me not having a dress, hair and makeup didn’t show up and I’ve had to scramble to do my own, and my Father-In-Law firing our DJ so he could be our entertainment. Ughhhhhh…

@ladyamalthea:  Hahaha. I’ve had a few. They usually involve either some or all of the following:

  • I’m not wearing my wedding dress (and I’m waiting to walk down the aisle)
  • If I’m wearing a wedding dress, it’s either hideous or partially in shreds
  • My fiance and I see each other before the ceremony
  • The aisle walk gets stuffed up and we have to all walk back up the aisle and start again!
  • The reception venue decorations are still sitting in a box when we arrive and the tables aren’t set, etc.

Basically anything that can go wrong, does!

I’ve been having wedding nightmares before I was even engaged. Everything to my bouquet being a potted plant but minus the pot…ball of soil and little baby flowers to my bridesmaids not being the bridesmaids I’m having all the way to my DJ doing my hair and makeup.

Sometimes they are worse than others and sometimes they are more frequent. If I don’t totally shut my mind off about 30 minutes before bed they’re really bad. They’re getting more frequent now because as soon as the holidays are over we have 2 months until the wedding. Eek!

Ugh, I have had a bunch of them! Ive had two of the same one, where my ceremony wasnt where it was supposed to be (Im sure this is because in the middle of planning I was told that my ceremony space had basically been of interest to the city for my wedding date, and they gt first pick). Recently I had one that I didnt get my hair done the way I wanted, and forgot my veil. Most of them are about the ceremony, feeling rushed, and not having the “look” I want. They feel so damn real, too!

I’ve been married for five months now, and I still had a wedding nightmare the other night. I dreamt that we had planned a second wedding for around now but forgot about it until the week before. We wanted to cancel everything because we did NOT want another ceremony for no reason. However, it was too late and people were telling me that they had already bought their plane tickets. The day of the wedding dawns, and lo and behold nobody showed up! There was also something about man-eating sharks and surfing at the venue.

Haha yep, pretty much the same! I am still a decent ways out and have had a couple already! I only remember one – I’ve been stressing about getting my dress altered and bustled so I know that’s how it came about. We were getting married and knew it was the day but somehow hadn’t planned much of anything but booking a venue. (Fitting since that’s all we have done as of now)  I had forgotten to get my dress altered so I was stepping on my train all night and ripping my dress. I was so upset by the end because my dress was destroyed but at the same time I didn’t care because I had gotten married! Hahahaha I guess that is a reflection of my attitude towards our big day – the main thing I care about is getting married!  <3

I only had one during the extended planning stage, but now that the wedding is less than a month away they’re like constant! It doesn’t help that I remember my dreams almost every night, lol.

One of my recent funny ones was that we had to do our wedding photos in a parking lot because our photographer thought that would look more journalistic (wtf, lol), and that I couldn’t find my earring, but I had decorated bobby pins, so I just like clamped them on my ears and was like, “F$*& it! Let’s go do this thing!”

How funny! I posted this the other day because I had my first nightmare too lol!

I had the weirdest/worst dream ever about my wedding last night! I hope this isn’t a recurring thing because it was awful and stressed me out so bad haha.

I dreamed that I was running around the day of my wedding and I couldn’t find my dress. I was already late to walk down the aisle and no one would help me find it. My mom kept telling me “It’s ok sweetie you look ok in whatever you wear!” I was like NO. ITS MY WEDDING I NEED MY DRESS. haha. Because I had taken up so much time looking for my dress, I didn’t put on makeup or do my hair so basically I looked like a bum. And then the coordinator came and told me that I needed to cancel the wedding or walk down the aisle in normal clothes. I decided to walk in normal clothes because everyone was already there and I felt so bad.

As I started walking down the aisle, I see my photographer roller skating around the church in between the aisle taking pictures of everyone and then when he saw me he got all in my face, seriously yelling like paparazzi yell at celebrities and roller skating circles around me LOL. I was like WTF.

As I continued to walk the altar started getting taller and taller and turned into A ROCK CLIMBING WALL. YES I HAD TO CLIMB THE WALL TO GET TO MY Fiance. At this point I’m like crying from misery. The second I got to him I woke up… all panicky lol.

Anyone else have anxiety-inducing nightmares while planning your wedding? Or anyone want to interpret my dream? lol

@ladyamalthea:  I’ve had half a dozen, and we’ve been engaged for a year and a half now. So one every few months?  Although, I’m expecting them to grow a little more frequent as we get closer. I’m a notorious worry-wart, though.
