And the bride wore blue … *dress drama*

You can definitely change the saturation of specific colors during the editing process, and I think the blue should be noticeable as long as the photo isn’t overexposed. If it is important to you that the blue in your dress is picked up, note it to your photog and they should know what to do in editing. I do think having the bridesmaids in a similar but slightly more saturated and/or darker blue probably would help pick the color up. The eye will be map the two things together as similiar–it’s why I like to wear emerald colored earrings, my eyes are dark green but they generally read as brown, unless I wear green near my eyes and then they pop. For the same reason, including more of your train in the photos will help pick the color up as there are some darker blue pieces in there.  Looking at the photos of that wedding now, the ones that were closer up and had more of her bodice/less of her train were less obviously blush, and the ones where her train is in it the dress is undeniably blush. I can share some photos with you if you’re curious–it’s not the same exact dress but it is the same bodice applique and train so they’re definitely from the same collection and probably a similar level of color saturation.

missmollybee :  So glad you went with blue! The other one makes your fab figure look very boxy – not flattering at all. You look like a queen in the blue!

missmollybee :  Love it! The lace pattern actually reminds me a lot of mine (mine was blush). Hopefully you can sell the first one and get some of your money back 🙂

You look beautiful in both, but even if I hadn’t heard the story I would have said the blue one was “the one.”
