ahhh girl! definitely see about buying off the rack. I didn’t even know they ordered veils – they just gave me the sample (for an extraordinarily ridic high amount..stupid expensive tulle).

def let yourself cry. it helps, for sure. and men are ridiculous – he’ll be the least of the problems. at least your Maid/Matron of Honor will be there, right? I felt so horrible for that post earlier, eesh.

if I lived closer I’d totally come help you. but for now I will send you *hugs* and virtual #cake!

Oh, girl…you have been through WAY too much during a very emotional time in your life.  Try to stay strong and focus on the positives!

Here’s a quote I think you might need right now: “We cannot change the cards we are dealt, just how we play the hand.” ~ Randy Pausch  and some virtual hugs ((((  ))))!!

@helenberrycrunch: How horrible, I’m so sorry for you, this should be a time you are enjoying.  You can make your own veil, I did it.  I can send you the instructions if you want.  Please don’t hate your wedding, I’m sure it will all work out in the end.  Have you looked on craigslist for a used veil or sound system to rent?

I’m so sorry so much has been going on doll.  Have your cry, get it all out, and move on.  Things will work out fine.  Pray on it, and let it go…..I hope your dad will be alright.  Keep your head up….

I still have my veil, I’m looking to get rid of it. It’s cathedral length, I can ship it to you whenever you give me the word. PM me for pictures/details.

You don’t hate your wedding or getting married.  You hate your dad being sick, your mom’s roof crashing in, the dumbass groomsman (boys!) and the haters at your church.

You will find another venue and sound system.  Just start googling and calling.

Veils are easy–unless yours was a super-special custom with rare antique lace blahbblahblah you can get them off etsy or David’s Bridal in a minute.

Lots of prayers for your family.  If everyone gets their health back, that will be the most important thing.

It will all be worth it.  I promise!

Awww, that’s so sweet of you!  I didn’t wear a veil, or I would offer her mine.

Otherwise, I agree with the suggestions to check eBay or Etsy for veils.

*hugs*

So sorry!  I hope things get better for you.  I know anybody would be willing to help you with what we can.  I will overnight a veil to you if I have to πŸ™‚

I’m sorry all this is happening to you! πŸ™ I’ve had a rough couple of weeks too.

What kind of veil are you looking for? Do you have a picture of your old one? If it’s similar to mine, I’ll let you borrow it. It can be your “something borrowed”. πŸ™‚

ETA: I know that the veil is not nearly the hardest part of what you’re going through but it’s the only thing I can help with.

I’m so sorry :(. That’s a lot of awful things to happen at once!! I know its not much, but if you’d like, you can have my veil free. I wore it at my wedding but I’m never going to do anything with it other than let it hang there.

Here is a photo of it & it has little crystal like things (they’re not real crystals) handing from the veil (you can kinda see one on the top of DH’s shoulder in pic#2):

I might even ship it to you with a cowpup!!! ;). (ok I won’t really, but just cause its bad for the puppy to be shipped, otherwise I totally would, if they were old enough)

Your name thing, I know it sucks right now, but you can still go by your new name, with friends & family. Technically, I still have my maiden name on my license but I have my new name on most other things & everyone calls me Mrs. DH.

Still, I’m sorry & you’ll be in my prayers!
