You are a doll. I don’t think I would have done that. 😉

This post just made me grateful that I don’t live in MN!!

When it’s that cold outside I say it’s “brick”. lol I had a friend from NYC that would always say that when it was super cold and I was like WTF!? What does that even mean? And he would say, “ever get hit in the face with a brick? That’s what it feels like outside!” O_O Can’t say I’ve ever been hit in the face with a brick, but it’s a funny saying.

It’s 20 right now.

I hate hate hate the cold. I hate snow, I hate Ice, with the exception of ice cream anything cold pisses me off. I’m allergic to it too which sucks because not only do I freeze my booty off but I get the lovely gift of itchy hives. Freaking cold weather can bite me, I am jealous that you get to stay home and be nice and toasty. I’m consoling myself with sticking my feet on top of my little office heater.

@sceeder: How cold does it get in the summer? I get so irked when my family members tell me, ‘It’s so cold, I had to wear a sweater’ and I’m like ‘Huh?’

The coldest temperature I ever experienced was 24 degrees, and that was because I spent Christmas in the mountains, and we had a 10 yard walk to the car. I can’t even imagine what running errands in -15 degree weather must be like. I’m sorry!!

I’m not a fan of winter anymore. Been there- done that enough. That’s why I moved to Vancouver. I live near the ocean and Stanley Park so even if we do get a skiff of snow it only lasts a day or two normally.

Yesterday I was walking home form the grocery store. The city crews were pruning the plum and cherry trees that line my street. I was so excited to note that the buds are pink and starting to open.

I dragged home one branch, cut and arranged the smaller branches in a vase and the blossoms are now starting to appear.

We’ve had windchills in the negative teens for much of the winter in Boston, and I have to stand outside, above ground, with no weather shelter to wait for my train to work every morning (usually 15-20 min wait). I would like to go back in time and have some choice words with whomever cut the budget for those subway stops so much that they couldn’t even have an enclosed weather shelter.
