See–this is a wedding that I think would be really fun to dress up and be in.  But something about it just isn’t timeless?  Like I’d look back in two months and be really embarassed….

@LadyElva:  Because she based it on the Disney version. She grew up in a Disney-themed home. I read an article about it, and it showed pictures from their home, with Disney pictures and stuff on the walls.

I’m sorta loving the fact that her dad actually carried a triton. I’d totes be excited to be in this wedding! I mean, I don’t think I could ever have a wedding like that for myself but I love the bride that would!

Don’t think I would do this for my wedding, BUT… I would actually kind of love to be one of those bridesmaids, haha.

I’m really sorry but if one of my friends tried to put me n an outfit like that, I’d ask her how much she’d had to drink.

@LadyElva:  “I’ve never actually seen the Disney version of The Little Mermaid, but in the original story, the mermaid doesn’t get to marry the prince and then dies by suicide. WHY would someone dress as the little mermaid on their wedding day??

Very true! I don’t quite get it either…

I feel like this is mean spirted for no good reason. So what if it isn’t your taste? Spending $500 on name brand shoes and $10k on a name brand dress isn’t my taste, but I don’t make post intentionally to make fun of people who chose to do that. So she has a different idea for what her dream wedding look like, obviously her friends liked her enough to wear those outfits (which to me are epic) so why make a post specifically to make fun of what appears to have been an incredible day for her?

They’re not my style, but I still think it is a pretty awesome idea. I bet it was a really fun wedding to attend!

Wow, some people need to grow up.  I’m sorry, I know some people love Disney, but really…it’s for kids.

@Mischka:  Because people are not well-read.
