Not sure here. . . I think malachite is more of a green color so I would hazard something closer to the second dress color.

Those definitely look different to me, but I agree with it probably being closer to the green.

I cant see the second dress – but the varying of colors between dye lots happens with a lot of different dresses.  I dont think that I shade or two would make a big difference overall.

I’ve been trying to figure this out for weeks, I even tried on different computers and different web browsers to see if I could find a place where the colors looked the same. I finally just emailed Ann Taylor with the question:

“Is the rich malachite in the Ruched Bustier Bridesmaid Dress the same as the rich malachite in the Flutter Front Bridesmaid Dress?”

and just this morning, I received the response:

Please be assured that within one fabric type (i.e. Silk Georgette) a color will be consistent across all styles. I do understand that the dresses do look slightly different in color on the website, however this is probably due to lighting or editing on the image, not the color of the dress itself.”
