Hi girls! I ordered my “wedding shoes” this weekend and would love some opinions. Like I posted before, my gown is Allure Couture C207 in ivory/light gold and I LUUUURVE IT!!!
BUT! I knew I wanted to wear an Ann Taylor shoe on my wedding day (ultimate comfort, anyone else?) since I’m NOT doing the flip-flop thing.
They only come in “Bridal Ivory” so I ordered THESE:
They have satin-covered buttons down the heel, but besides that, are pretty simple, plain bridal pumps. In ivory.
I also already own THESE:
The same shoe in the gold glitter version. Both equally comfortable. Not sure which will match my dress better. Hard to tell since I don’t actually have my dress or the ivory shoes to compare just yet. Both are on their way.
HIVE — what would YOU do with my antique-y gold/ivory gown? Ivory satin? Or gold glitter? And more importantly… is anyone else OBSESSED with Ann Taylor shoes like me? I know I’m not alone!!! Thanks, ladies!!! xoxox

Go with the Ann Taylor. Beautiful, classic and comfortable.

I prefer the gold, but they’re both lovely!

Either would work. I love that dress. It’s stunning!

I love the buttons down the back of the Ann Taylor pumps!

The Gold is beautiful and would bring out the color of your gown. Maybe their shoes have changed? I used to work there about 10 years ago and the shoes were horribly uncomfortable to wear for a day of standing.
Your dress is stunning!

A plus for the gold, you already own them so no extra expense and I’m sure you’ll be able to wear them after the wedding & remember your day.

- Wedding: May 2013 - Walt Disney World
My dress is slighty more darker/gold than ivory and I went with a shoe that had some gold glitter in it…love it! And since you already own the pair, I think you can go with that! I don’t personally have experience with Ann Taylor shoes but they are both gorgeous!

Gorgeous dress- go with gold!!

I love the gold ones. You can always add buttons down the back of them if you wanted to. Plys you own them already and have broken them in, know what they are going to feel like after being in them a couple of hours, etc.
