Hello Bees! I’ve been lurking for a while but I’m finally inspired to post because a total headache I’ve been experiencing. I hate to have my first post be negative but this is really driving me nuts!
I purchased a wedding dress online from Ann Taylor in September. Alas, it was not the one for me so I returned it October 13. I checked on its status a few days later and it indicated that it had been received October 18. It was a random name for whoever signed for it and so I got worried after a few days went by and I didn’t get a credit. I called them on the 23 to make sure they really got it. They told me they’d received it but it might still be a few days before I could expect a credit. Almost two weeks later, Nov 3rd, I get an email from them saying they’ve processed my return but it could still take 1-2 BILLING cycles on my credit card to receive the refund. Is that not total insanity? Why in the world would they operate this way? I have never, ever experienced such a slow return process and needless to say I will never purchase from them or any of their sister companies online again.
Anyway, I wanted to see if anyone else out there had a similar experience and to warn anyone out there considering buying a dress from them that their money could be tied up for a looonnng time if they do so.
