I have been trying to get in touch with her too to buy a caketopper!  I don’t think there is anywhere else to buy them but directly from her and by email.  Sorry, I know this isn’t much help, but I think you have done what you can do. I have a good friend in Brooklyn and my fiance suggested having him stop by her house, but I think that is bordering on creepy. If you find out any other way to get them I would love to know!

I was obsessed with these adorable little birds too!  In December I emailed Ann Wood regarding a caketopper through her website.  After not hearing back, I emailed again a few weeks later.  She did respond to the second email… but it was over a month later.  She said she has had a crazy amount of caketopper mail and is spending days just catching up on it.  New bride and groom sets will be available in her shop soon.  She also mentioned that if you join the mailing list, updates will be emailed to you.  (I joined months ago and still haven’t received a newsletter or email).  If you have time to wait, she probably will respond to you eventually.  Good luck!

In the meantime, I found another caketopper which I like very much for a fraction of the cost.

I could be wrong, but I thought I remembered reading that she was slammed with orders and wasn’t taking on new ones at the moment.

Love her stuff, it’s so cute!

The last time Ann announced she was releasing birds on a specific Monday at noon and so many people tried to access her website to buy them that it crashed the site for the rest of the day. She is avoiding that now by not announcing the release at a specific time.

I think her birds are in high demand, but she is just one person handcrafting each bird, which is why it takes so long to get one.

Like MrsPomegranate said, if you wait long enough, she will respond when she can, but if search etsy, there are other artists that make bird cake toppers in their own styles.

Good Luck!
