    As a guest, I personally prefer cake to cupcakes, and as a bride, I think I’d want a cake for the same reasons you mentioned — the topper and getting to cut it. ๐Ÿ™‚

    @TakeTwo:  Oh hun, I’m sorry! I don’t think it’s that no one is interested…there’s just a lot of threads and a lot of competition for attention. ๐Ÿ™‚ I might also recommend just paying attention to *when* you’re posting — we have members from all over the world on the site, but there’s a definite decline in traffic during the times when most North American bees are sleeping and whatnot. ๐Ÿ˜‰

    We had a groom’s cake at our rehearsal dinner, so we needed to be able to serve ~45 people. The bakery accommodated for that just fine and it wasn’t expensive! Especially considering specialty cupcakes can sometimes go for $2.50+ a cupcake. ๐Ÿ™‚

    @Gemstone:  I agree.

    I always prefer cake to cupcakes. Plus a beautiful cake (no matter the size) is just so elegant and lovely.
