So my future Mother-In-Law wants to do some sort of tribute to her parents, as the week after our wedding they hit 50 years together. I wanted to also do some kind of anniversary dance, but I’m not totally clear when people reference them. Do you have everyone come dance, and sit down partly through? How does it work that one couple (who has been married the longest) ends up still up there? I’m clueless.

We did an anniversary dance. The DJ called up all of the married couples and them eliminated them. She would say a number of years and anyone married less than that left the dance floor. When if was all said and done, DH’s grandparents won (married 68 years!). So, I presented his grandma with my toss bouquet and then the 4 of us danced a song together.

We did one just like zippylef. My husband’s boss and his wife won! I presented them with a toss bouquet. It was fun! The DJ started with “If you’ve been married less then a few hours, please leave the dance floor…” It was cute.

how fun! thanks for the help. I had heard of them but wasn’t sure how they worked really. I’ll definitely bring that up to the DJ
