I was wondering if anyone celebrated their one year dating anniversary, even though they were already engaged by that time.
Or does the “dating” anniversary get replaced by “engagement” anniversary? And if you are then getting married within a year of the engagement, then I guess your only anniversary that matters will be the wedding anniversary?
My case is all of the above. We were just wondering since our one year is coming up, and we didnt know if it would be odd to celebrate it since we have a different status now. Would love your opinions. 🙂

Well Darling Husband and I got engaged at 8 months. We did celebrate our 1 year of being together still. We also plan on celebrating our 2 years of dating even though we are already married. We went out to a nice dinner on our enagaveresary. I think once we have a wedding anniversary, then we probably won’t celebrate the dating one. Who doesn’t need extra reasons for presents anyways?

Celebrate whatever you want to! We dated less than a year before we were engaged. We still celebrate the anniversary of our first date AND the anniversary of our engagement, even though we are now married.
We don’t do much on those “lesser” anniversaries — really, we just go out to dinner — but we do acknowledge them.

We did celebrate our 1 year dating anniversary…well we agreed not to and Fiance went and got me earrings anyway saying we only get that anniversary once 🙂

I’m celebrating our dating anniversary. I’ve never heard of an engagement anniversary, to be honest. 2 years on September 5th!

We kept our dating anniversary. We were only dating 5 months when we got engaged. It will eventually be replaced by the wedding anniversary.
