In my opinion, there’s no reason why you couldn’t give your big gift a little late – just explain it was something you special ordered and it didn’t come in on time.

My husband has actually worked really hard to give me “year specific” gifts. He gave me a stretched-canvas picture (He considered this “paper”) for year one. He also bought be a really cute cotton sundress for year two – I found out afterwards that he looked for weeks to find something cotton that he thought would make a good gift. Although I love the dress, it means so much to know the thought behind it. That’s the key – The thought behind the gift :).

    Happy Anniversary, by the way!
