I would think the new one will sparkle more, but it’s hard to tell without seeing them.

It’s not just going for a stone that’s a bit bigger, but the overall specs that’s bigger. I think that it’s worth it because you have better specs and you weren’t happy with the look of the ring. If you were getting equal specs but slightly bigger then I would say it wasn’t necessary.

Don’t feel guilty about upgrading. If you want to be sure you’re getting the most bang for your buck, I’d recommend posting on the pricescope forum. They will help you find the biggest and best stone for your money!

Will you notice a difference in size?  Probably not.  Will you notice a difference in performance?  Probably.  And a sparkly diamond will look bigger than one that doesn’t perform well.  As long as you and your husband are happy with your choice, go for it.  And post pics!

sixmillionmiles :  I think it was a great choice, cut really is king and you joined a very exclusive 0.6-0.7ct range club! 😂

I say do the upgrade for sure.  Only maybe go a little bigger?  You might feel like there wasn’t much of a change to bump it up that small of an increment.
