you didn’t do anything too drastic, more like you ‘fixed it a bit’ – wait and see how it looks before you decide 🙂

First I want to say congratulations!!! My husband and I got engaged when we were only 18 so my parents actually paid for my wedding set and he paid it off. I really wanted this small antique ruby ring but was talked out of it because it wasnt a diamond. Even though I picked it out and still wear it occasionally, it just never felt like me. He has surprised me with many jewelry over the last years, including two new diamond rings. Even though they are all beautiful I still never felt like me for wearing them. My daughter and I have birthdays one day apart so this year after she turned one, he let me pick out a new upgrade that is an antique, old European cut purple/ green sapphire and even though we could have probably put that money to use some where else or I could have gotten a bigger diamond; I am so gratefull that we did it. All that to say, if you really want something different no matter how big or small the change then there is absolutely nothing to feel guilty about. I am sure both rings are beautiful but there is absolutely no harm in getting what you want if it makes you happy and doesn’t hurt anyone else. Even a small upgrade in size can make a huge difference and the new stats will make that diamond sparkle much more. If worst comes to worst you can always return it, resale it, or upgrade again in the future :). You shouldn’t worry or feel guilty I’m sure your new ring will be beautiful!

sixmillionmiles :  I love the size too! I have a 0.60 center stone on a size 4.75/5 and love the proportion ☺️ It just seems pretty rare to find stones in the 0.6 range as it’s between the popular .50 and .75 marks.

I second wanting to see a picture of your lovely ring! And congratulations on one year of marriage! My husband and I just celebrated our one year anniversary on August 4th 🥰DH got me an entirely new diamond solitaire for an anniversary ring separate from my engagement ring, so don’t feel guilty! 😂

If you love it and your husband was completely ok with it and happy with the choice, then have no regrets!  It’s a great choice, in my opinion.
