I can’t decide how to do it though. Friday night my dad won’t be home but my big brother will. Saturday my dad will be there but my brother won’t. Sunday is the same way. I would love to tell my parents and my brother at the same time but it doesn’t sound like its possible 🙁
Would you tell your brother and mom and then wait to tell your dad? I have cutesy presents for my parents and I was hoping to give them their presents at the same time… I’m also a little hesitant to tell my parents before Saturday because we’re having a family get together and I’m not ready for my extended family to know just yet and I don’t want my parents to spill the beans. We’re only 6w6d but have seen the heartbeat and got the green light from my doctor to tell everyone. I’d still just prefer to wait a little while to share with extended family.

I would tell both of my parents at the same time on Saturday so that you can give them the gifts. But, it sounds like you would rather tell your mom and your brother. So, do that! 🙂
Maybe when your father gets home you can give him the gift before your mother or brother has a chance to let him know. I’m sure they would understand that you want to be able to tell him.

For me, it wouldn’t even be a question. If they could not be told at the same time, Mom and Dad would be told first, and Brother could find out later. I think my dad would be hurt if I chose to tell my mom and brother while he wasn’t there.
