UGH!! It’s been a week since I e-mailed her and she still hasn’t gotten back to me! I want to e-mail her again but I don’t want her to rush through our pictures. The pictures from the wedding that was two months after our have been removed from her site and not replaced.
I really wanted to make parent albums as holiday gifts and there is no way that will happen now.
I can’t find the contract, I’m sure we still have it but it’s buired somewhere in the wedding room, or what used to be our office. We paid her in full on the day of the wedding (was this dumb?!?!).
I’m freaking out, what if she lost our pictures?!?!?!

I would suggest just emailing her and instead of asking where your pictures are, or when you will expect to get them, maybe try asking her how they are coming along, or if there is anything she needs from you. Like somehow “trick” her into at least emailing you back with some sort of response. It doesn’t seem like she’s being too professional (it’s not good to ignore a client!) but I doubt she lost your photos. It honestly kind of sounds like she may have had an “oh ****” moment. Do you have a phone number for her? I’d say just keep pushing for some sort of response, but don’t get mean. If she responds and the answer is not what you want, then you can start to get a little more firm. But if you just send a “touching base,” email, you might at least get some sort of response.

As long as your photographer is within the time frame they gave you in the contract, I would not be upset. They may have different terms in the other contracts. Perhaps a quicker turn around time is required.
Give them a call and ask how much longer it will be. 🙂

So, after two e-mails and a voicemail from both my husband and I we finally heard back from her. Apparently she was out of town b/c her mom had emergency surgery. She said that she is working on our pictures 100% at this point.
I’m still a little curious about why she posted pictures for a wedding that occured 2 months after ours and immediately pulled them down after I sent the first e-mail but at this point, I’m just glad she didn’t lose our pictures and it working on them. Hopefully I can see them soon!!

Good luck Daisy! We are waiting for our pix, too. Just a few pix on the blog – he said 8 days for a few blog shots. It’s been 16. I didn’t expect 8 until he suggested it. I don’t have a problem waiting, but when they give you a time line, or publish things way after yours first, it’s very annoying. Don’t set the bar so high, people! OVERdeliver!

Thanks Melissa! I was totally fine with waiting until I saw those pictures from later weddings!
I just checked and she started posting our pictures!!! I’m so excited!!!

Maybe she is just taking extra time to make sure your wedding looks fantastic! Sometimes i can post an engagement session faster than a wedding day. Its nice to get the smaller sessions out of the way so that I know I can completely focus on the wedding I am editing.
