One of the attorneys I work for talks to himself all the time or walks around saying “I’m so tired. Tired, tired, tired.” It makes me so irritated. But, he is leaving this firm soon so I’m happy about that 🙂

@missjewels:  I have several. I use headphones. Sometimes nothing is even playing.

I used to have a coworker that would talk down to me and tell me that I’m too young to know the real world, not experienced enough, not ‘grown’, etc. Not only was it entirely inappropriate, he was only 3 years older than me, lol.

i have one who’s passive aggressive. i can’t stand her. she’s completely imcompetent and should’ve been fired a long time ago. i think the only reason the boss keeps her is because he’s worried about a lawsuit if he fires her. she’s older and she’s all about suing people (although i think most of her stories are lies since she tried to tell me that she sued mcdonald’s over something stupid and won. yeah right). you can tell her something one day and a week later, if you bring it up again, she acts like she’s never heard it before. i’m like “bitch i just told you this last week”. ugh. oh and she’s computer illiterate. she bangs in the keyboard out of frustration and makes her computer freeze. we’ve told her over and over to stop doing that. we’ve also told her how to fix certain compuer issuse but she’s so fucking dumb. <end rant>

@missjewels:  You have just described my opwn coworker to a T who I also sit mere feet from. Unfortunately I can’t avoid her with headphones because my boss does not allow headphones.

About the broadcasting her thoughts, I did tell her once that I don’t have to hear every thought that she had every time that she had them. When she interjected a conversation I was having once with some inconsequential bullshit of hers, I said, “You interrupted our conversation FOR THAT NONSENSE?”

Both times I said these things jokingly but I did get the point across.

However she still does all of those things. She is a nice person though so I let it slide and try to focus on what is good about her.

I use headphones and grooveshark to block out the sound of my coworker’s revolting eating noises, and the gross sounds he makes when he blows/picks his nose, and the Public Service Announcement he feels the need to give EVERYONE WHO COMES IN THE DOOR EVER about how poorly he is or has been. “I’m still a bit tired and coldy.” EVERYONE IS. IT’S FEBRUARY. WHO ANSWERS “HOW’S IT GOING?” WITH ANYTHING OTHER THAN “OK, THANKS.”???

As a person, he’s much nicer than the awful coworker I used to have, who was rude, spiteful and had a massive chip on her shoulder and would take it out on me. BUT I could avoid her. I share an office with this guy, just me and him, all day, every day. Ugh ugh ugh.

A guy I work with is a total brown-nosing douchebag. I think I hate him more every day…

Lol I started a thread about my annoying coworker last week. She’s super nosy and always staring at me to see what I’m doing. Creep! Another lady is really nice but she’s always cursing at any and everything. “Oh f&*% I forgot the cream for my coffee!” “I sent a double email! I hate when I do that s^&*!” “Where the f*&# is my pencil sharpener?” …it’s just annoying listening to her. Like why do you have that much aggression towards the simplest things? It’s just weird and unladylike.

Yes.  Yes, I do.  She is part of the reason I want a new job so badly.
