- Wedding: October 2012
Hi! Im Kelsey new to the weddingbee boards but obviously not to wedding planning as only have about a month left! Im marrying my best friend and my hero again 🙂 Our relationships went quick to marriage and a year and a half ago I honestly wouldnt think I’d be where I am today. Didn’t think I’d ever move from my hometown, or become a wounded warrior wife (or army wife at that) and never thought I’d be swept off my feet by anyone. My Hubby and I (yes I said hubby we’re already married) are planning our dream country wedding and things are just finally starting to go right! My father promised us money for the wedding and up untill yesterday we didn’t think we were going to get the money anymore and were scrambling to find money. He called last night to let us know the money was on its way so a huge weight was lifted off my shoulders and today I finally got to enjoy some wedding planning for the first time in a long time because next week my wedding will be PAID IN FULL!!!! Its getting so close to the wedding and now Im just excited. I have a short list of things to finish making and an even shorter list of last minute things to buy. Only thing still stressing me is the lack of hair stylist! I think Im most excited to finally meet my inlaws and just enjoy the day.
A little about our wedding: We’re having an autumn country wedding my girls are in brown floor length dresses with cowboy boots. THe guys are in black tuxes with camo vests, blaze orange ties and gun holsters. Our location is gorgeous on its own so we’re throwing a couple mums next to the ceremony pergola and burlap overlays with jars, tin can luminaries and cangles for centerpieces. I’m DIYing everything I can even saving money by getting a small cake for the cake cutting and bridal party and making cakes in small mason jars for all the guests. I love to bake and we love the autumn and burlap and hunting so we wanted to share a little of us with our friends and family especially since 90% of our guest list is from out of town and hasn’t met one of us. Being in Kentucky we’re also sharing our favorite food with our guests- BBQ!!
Hope everyone else is getting excited about their days and starting to stress less! Nice meeting you ladies!
