I’ve enjoyed reading all your posts and seeing all the beautiful dresses you’ve picked out!
I’m getting married in December in Vegas and am pretty much decided on a custom cocktail-length 50s style dress from Etsy seller porshesplaces (pleated skirt, no sash, no ties at shoulder).
She says she can put sleeves on it, but I’m having trouble picturing it — would it end up looking like the Dolly Couture Beverlywood?
Would the dress be cuter without sleeves? I’d love to hear some opinions!

What type of sleeve is she putting on it?

I was thinking either short or 3/4 length sleeves, but I can’t fnd any good inspiration photos that have this neckline/waistline + sleeves.

I own a somewhat similar dress with elbow length sleeves and I totally love it. I can’t see the dress with 2/4 length sleeves, but I think a longer short sleeve would be very pretty.

Here’s a dress with fitted bodice, v neck, pleated skirt and short sleeves
here’s one with 3/4 sleeves
The final look will depend a lot on the fabric used.

I am getting marred in Vegas in April…

I love it! I think it would look really cute with an elbow length sleeve (maybe even 3/4) in a sheer white fabric. I really can only picture it in my head as a sheer, tight-fitting sleeve. Maybe with an embroidered or slightly embilleshed edge? I think it could be really cute!

Maybe a 3/4 inch sheer sleeve. Or a cap sleeve. Maybe she can give you a mock up so you can see what it would look like.

I like it without sleeves, but I think it would be cute with sleeves too! Or you can cover up with a sweater or shawl if you want something extra.
