@cascadecherub: Amelia is my mom’s name and I love love love it for a little girl! I thought it was so beautiful and original and than I looked at the top 100 baby names of 2012. Wah wah wah…
My DH keeps calling the baby Gavin which I cannot stand. I do like Griffin though and it is named as a sibling name for our daughter who’s name is Phoenix.

@baletrina: Our LO is named Ethan. It’s pretty high up there on the SSA Top 100 or so list. It totally went against what we thought that we would do namewise. We’ll see what happens when we work on #2 and hopefully a girl. I love the name Amelia, but have a feeling that we won’t use it.

I like the names Gianna and Nicolette for a girl, and for a boy I like Eric and Joshua.
My SO’s niece is Juliana, SO has brought up to me that Gianna is too similar to Juliana, but I honestly feel like they are two different names and I don’t care that they sound a bit similar.
Does anyone think there would be a problem with me using the name Gianna for my child because the names “Gianna” and “Juliana” sound too similar?

We aren’t TTC but will be in the next year. We’ve already decided on:
Mackenzie Mae (Mae is my late grandmother’s middle name)
Mitchell Edward (Mitchell is another form of Michael which is DH’s name and Edward is my dad’s name)

A daughter – Julia Rose. We’re both in agreement on that one, but his agreements are more along the lines of, “I can live with that.” -_-‘
Boys? No clue. He hates everything. I like “Shane” or “Shawn” – my paternal grandpa’s name was John, and while I’m not crazy about the name, I liked the idea of giving my child a variation on it.
