Jaxon and Jackso are VERY common here.Lucas or Luca would be my pick. But that song “My name is Luca” does pop in my head, so I like Lucas more.

Variations of Jackson aren’t unique at all. I’ve always liked the name Lucas, though.

I think Jaxxon is straight up awful.

Keenan reminds me of Keenan and Kel so that would be out for me.

Aiden is a perfectly fine name but overdone right now, same with Lucas. So my vote went to Matthew. However, none of these names are unique what so ever. I think all of them are on the top 100 boys names lists.

Idk what a baptism name is so uh, Matthew Jesus?

The spelling of Jaxxon made me cringe big time 😬 I like Lucas though none of them are unique. All are pretty common names. And idk what a baptism name is so sorry… lol

Dunno what a “Baptism” middle name is, but I voted for Lucas because it’s slightly less common than Matthew, and I didn’t like any of the other ones. Plus, with Lucas you could go with Luke/ Luca/ Luc and give some variation.

None of those names are unique. My personal preference would be for Lucas/Luca (no h), then Matthew, then Aiden. I do not care for Keenan or Jaxon at all

That is a list of very popular names.
    From babycentre:
Jackson #1 (even if you spell it differently, it’s still Jackson)
    Aiden #2
    Lucas #3
    Matthew #28

Keenan is not in the top 100 or 1000. So if you want unique that is your name. But it isn’t a name that really appeals to me. But its your kid so knock yourself out.

I don’t think any of these are great or unique. They kind of range from plain/classic (Matthew) to super trendy (Jaxxon).

I would choose Matthew or Aidan if it were me, but I don’t love either one. Jaxxon is awful (sorry!) and Keenan isn’t great either. Sorry bee 🙁

Jaxxon doesn’t make Jackson any better.  In fact, the opposite.  And most people won’t be seeing the name spelled so it’s exactly the same sound except you’re destining your child to a lifetime of explaining to teachers, doctors offices, HR, customer services reps etc. to saying “Actually, no, it’s spelled with two X’s and no S.”

I would go with Matthew or Lucas.  They are nice fairly classic names that serve both child and adult well.  They are fairly popular names that have become mainstream to not immediately thought of as biblical.  I mean, many mainstream names are derived from there, so I don’t think you have to worry about “biblical” unless it’s not a mainstream name that pretty much only exists there (like Hammelech or Jehosaphat).

I’m also confused why if you want something unique, four out of the five names you posted are in the Top 20 baby names in the U.S. and have been for a number of years (ignoring that you’re spelling Jackson with two X’s).  The only one that isn’t is Keenan and that was actually fairly popular in the 80’s and 90’s and making a slow comeback (though it was never a top 100) name.

So I would go Matthew or Lucas unless you’re hellbent on a more unique name – then I would go back to the drawing board.

None of these are unique. I’ll go with Matthew, because it is so classic and not super trendy. But if you want unique, look outside the top 100 baby names and also notice its trend — if a name went from #640 to #160 in the last two years, it probably won’t be unique much longer.

I’ve always liked Luke as a name, so I’d go with Lucas. Matthew is also good. Both are very mainstream names and, like PP said, aren’t immediately seen as biblical to people.

Jaxxon is just terrible, IMO. And weird spellings of Jackson are super trendy right now, it’s probably the most common misspelled name that I see, so it’s not even unique.

Aiden is ok, but also super trendy.

Keenan is actually fairly unique, but I’m not a fan.

Newgirl87 :  I am really sorry Bee, but I can’t stand “Jaxxon” – my friend named her son Jaxon, and he goes by Jax, but I still think Jackson is a perfectly nice name and doesn’t need to be changed 😊

The rest didn’t seem very unique – I love Luca, but I like it for a girl. I wanted to name our future daughter Luca, but then I thought of kids calling her “puka.”

I went to school with a kid named Lucas, kids called him “Mucous.” Can’t win!

Yes, Jaxxon is too weird. Don’t set your child up for a lifetime of having to correct how others spell his name. Aiden is popular, Matthew and Lucas are classic. Any family names?
