Well bees i havnt been around for a while as i needed to keep my mind off waiting and weddings..but i am finally off the waiting list just when i least expected it! Not quite the proposal I had imagined (or that he imagined!) but a lovely quiet romantic one atleast (: and now its official we can finally move forward and a huge weight is off my shoulders now I know we are both on the same page 😀 only thing is.. i think my ring is a little loose 🙁 and im terribly sentimental so i dont know whether or not to resize it, it is bearable and wont fall off over my knuckle but it can spin quite easily and im scared off damaging it when it falls around to my palm side.. it is winter time so i dont know if in summer my fingers will swell a bit more and it will be okay or not.Ive been told resizing it may weaken it so i may be able to get the same ring in a smaller size if theres one available (though my fiance bought this a while ago im told) but im terribly sentimental and it wouldnt be THE proposal ring.. dont know what to do about that. x

Congrats how exciting! I would definitely resize if it’s big. My husband had to resize his wedding band and it turned out perfectly and he feels so much more comfortable not worrying if it’s going to fall off. Your hands do swell in summer though, so if you’re on the fence it could be a good idea to wait. My rings fit much looser in the winter.

congrats! no ring pic?? :-p
also, i resized mine from a 5.25 to a 4.5 & it’s fine as far as i can tell. i think there are limits to how much they will resize things & it also depends on what kind of ring it is.

@RocketBee: congrats!!! I’d wait on resizing it until the weather warms up abit. Fingers tend to get a little thinner in the cold weather.

Congratulations! I’d resize it so it fits comfortably. You could also get a ring spacer, which fits inside the band, lessening the amount of loose space. Those are removable, so you could use one until you see how your ring fits during the summer.
