Oh, bees, I just don’t know what to do. I really like the dress I already have. im not sure I ever got that feeling that it was the ONE but I wasn’t really expecting to either. It was similar to the style that I went in for and was the most flattering. Add in the fact that it was 40% off and I couldn’t pass it up.
However, another bee posted about a lace mermaid knock off from DHGate and I can’t get it out of my mind!!! It’s almost exactly what I was looking at when I first started flagging dresses. I changed from lace fit and flares to satin with pickups after seeing a dress on a wedding show that I really liked. I almost think it’s worth it to order one and see given the cost. And if I go with that one, Im sure i can resell my original one for more than what the knockoff costs.
uuuggggghhhhh….. No idea what to do. I even put on my first gown again tonight to see it. Still needs alterations but at least I got to see it out of the bag and not in the awful photo I have that makes it look yellow… 🙁
ETA: this is not impulse dress regret. I started to doubt my dress choice a few weeks ago but this new one is the first to make me actually consider Replacing it.

Now I see the picture, I can see what you are thinking but I honestly think your dress is way prettier. And the quality is going to be better, most likely. IMO, Darling Husband gate is hit and miss plus you can’t ensure what you are going to get is going to be the same as the picture. How consistent is that particular seller? Would you risk your sure thing for a maybe?

@Soon2BeMrsS: I’m not a fan of the first dress but the second is sooo gorgeous.

@tksjewelry: I saw that as well and just fixed it. 🙂

@Soon2BeMrsS: I had really bad dress regret, but on the day the dress worked really well and i was super happy I kept it. Is it worth the money to switch?

@Soon2BeMrsS: really not trying to sound mean but the second dress looks cheap :/ you should post the pic of you in it! I am sure everyone would love to see 🙂

I voted keep the original, only because I would have doubts about the quality of the second gown. I feel like you could be setting yourself up to be very disappointed once you see the actual dress.

I would say keep the original! Not the biggest fan of the second dress, to be completely honest!

Keep the MS, it’s so beautiful and you obviously know the quality and you must have liked SOME THING about the dress or you wouldn’t have bought it.
The problem I see with the knock off gowns is you don’t know what it feel like, and you might not even like it when it comes in and you put it on. What if you spend the money to order this dress, it comes in and it’s itchy, bad quality and looks bad? You’re going to wish you just kept your original dress.

I love the second one, it’s so romantic and gorgeous.

ooh close call! I voted for the second one only because I love lace and hate pickups with a passion.
But everyones tastes are different. They are both lovely in their own right..
However, like other bees i might be concerned about the second dress’s quality but if that is an actual example of one they have created i say go for it!

I love the original dress. Not that the knock-off isn’t great in the picture but I seriously doubt that the quality will be a patch on the MS. Also, you have no idea how it will look on you. The resale value of even brand new and unworn dresses isn’t good so unless you can really afford to take a chance on the second dress I’d be very thoughtful about buying it. Have you tried that style on, incidentally?

@Soon2BeMrsS: I like the second dress better, but sometimes the knockoffs look terrible in real life.

I do like the second dress but I’ve yet to see a knock off that looked as good as the original…

@mylittleviolett: +1. I love the second dress!
